'22 Veloster N 6MT. Picked it up this morning. The drive home added another 430 miles to it.

Time to clear some brush around the edges of the yard. The Ryobi 4H 40V battery is a beast.

I’ve been using my Ryobi 40V around the house for a couple years or so now. It’s been excellent. Power head with weed eater, shrub trimmer, edger, and blower attachments. (Don’t bother with with blower attachment). Standalone leaf blower and chainsaw, too. They’ve been fantastic. Be sure to have two batteries on hand. I can typically weed eat, edge, and blow on one battery, but there have been some bigger projects that would have been frustrating had I not had a charged back up.

Side note. Don’t bother with gas Ryobi. Super finicky and unreliable. I splurged the extra coin on my Ryobi pressure washer to get the one with a Honda motor and wayyy better.

Family situation apparently dictated that the Mrs and I obtain another vehicle. While not the best time to buy, nor the Porsche I wanted...this will be in the garage come tomorrow afternoon.

Originally ordered (what I consider British Racing) Green and planned for a 45 day wait, but the deal on this one fell through with the original buyer yesterday morning. It's Matterhorn (Matte) White with a blue interior. 2023 Genesis GV70 Sport Prestige. Not overly ecstatic with the wheels, but they'll be easier to clean that the ones on the RDX.

So, this is the new dog hauler.

I have 4H 40v and a 6H 40V, plus a half dozen 18V One+ batteries (for the chainsaw). I could have ordered the 40V chainsaw, but I really don't have much to cut except some bush stalks that are all 1" or less. I've been impressed with the brush cutter attachment. It plows through a lot. I also bought a hedge trimmer on a pole earlier. That also works well. Next up is the snow thrower attachment, or maybe a dedicated snowthrower.

Awesome purchase! The Hyundai N products are super fun, you can really tell that Albert Biernann's spirit still lives on in those cars, congrats!

Upgrading the home NAS from four 1TB drives to four 12TB. Hopefully these last as long as the previous ones that have been spinning since 2014! These will be set up in a RAID5 config.

Not entirely sure, as you may know, speedo stops counting at 299kph and until yet I hadn't used additionally a GPS to proove the real top speed. But I admit that the enormous accerelation surprises me every time again. The Lizard wasn't slow at all situations and rans 312kph but this is something else.

Top speed runs are fun and I know you have the autobahn to do it on but you never know when some idiot will change lanes in front of you for no reason. Play safe.

Make sure to check out Direct Tools Outlet, they have crazy deals sometimes on Ryobi stuff. Just got my order yesterday, 18v grinder, handheld vac, bunch of grinder blades and a few other little things for around $50 with shipping. Also they give you a free electrostatic sprayer right now, doesn't say it anywhere but it will be in your cart.

Two weeks ago I got a 3/8" 18v ratchet for $89 and got 2 free 2ah batteries and another free electrostatic sprayer (normally $90 for that).

Here's the interior - Navy blue. Dog's taken ownership of the back already...hopefully this holds up to all the dog hair.

Took me 10 seconds to de-badge the back. Have a black chrome Genesis logo on order.
