Code Help

I ran a diagnostic today and was given the following codes. Anyone ever see these before and have recommendations?

140011 - Misfiring: Injection cut
118401 - Mixture ECU: Mixture too lean, large deviation
118010 - Mixture control, across the databases: mixture too lean
20E120 - Crankcase ventilation breather hose: not connected/defective

20E120 if crankcase breather hose is u/s or disconnected then it's possible you may be getting oil/mist onto your MAF's and giving you spurious signals.Check that out first and clean the MAF's with special aerosol cleaner then clean the pipes of oil residue.

Thanks. I cleaned both MAF and drove it about 15 miles, no warning lights came back on but i don't know if the CEL i was getting will come back on or not. I reset the diagnostic codes.

If there was a misfire code that popped up, would you just replace the spark plugs and maybe ignition coils? I replaced the spark plugs at 40k miles, so it's only been 20k miles, doesn't seem like much at all.

Good,in fact I received my MAF cleaner yesterday but so far haven't had a chance to spray clean them.
60k now then, if it comes up again then yes the ign. coils may be starting to complain and they're not that expensive.

Looks like the MAF cleaner helped for me....i just re-ran diagnostics and now i have the below codes

9307A1 - my driver's door comfort access doesn't work anymore (I knew this)

a couple codes referring to a CAN timeout (Info E14413 and Info 482740). Seems like there is some lag in time for communication between the DME and another system of the vehicle. Is that something to be concerned about?

Weird that i got the CEL back on though. Maybe i have to drive it 50-100 miles??

Could be another 'ghost' notification of no meaning. No harm in driving it,my cel came on just after filling with different fuel and after 50 miles went off.
Damn I'll clean those MAF's tomorrow if it kills me!

I'm so tired of these "ghost" error codes. I once had BMW do an inspection and the technician said he got like 15, insignificant codes that don't even mean anything lol

Update:

For the below codes:

118401 - Mixture ECU: Mixture too lean, large deviation
118010 - Mixture control, across the databases: mixture too lean

Turns out i needed a fuel injector cleaner. The car was registering too much air and not enough fuel. Once i cleaned it out, the above codes went away. Just in case anyone gets the above codes.

As for the misfire code, i have no idea why i'm getting it, there is literally no misfire at all. My breather hose was a bit loose so i snapped that back into place.

I only have two fuels available to me close by that are 99RON.Shell v-power and Momentum 99.I add fuel additive cleaner when using M99 as it hasn't the cleaning formulation of v-power.

So my CEL came back on and i failed the emissions test for my inspection. Looks like the fuel system failed emissions. Any recommendations? Could it be a bad oxygen sensor? I checked my air filters and it looks completely fine. It's not dirty and i made sure the filters have no cracks or holes.

Try using Redex fuel additive, sold in Costco. It lowers Co2 and people here put it in before the yearly test to get past the emission test.My M runs rortier with that stuff in.Also you can check your fuel cap seal and breather pipe, if not seating properly you'll get a CEL for sure.

Fuel cap is definitely sealed properly. How do i get to the breather hose? I was trying to search the internet for pics but can't seem to find clear direction.

Another poster mentioned it,you have to look down behind the fuel filler pipe rubber grommet. He said there's a breather pipe there..it's a tight fit though.

Update here: i found the issue that was causing the CEL. It wasn't really the breather hose (at least not the only reason). My spark plugs were not "cold" enough to jive with the software tune and BMS intake that i had. I changed the plugs and cleaned the breather hose a couple weeks ago and haven't seen the CEL since.
