Its still not tuned but as soon as its available I will be one of the first to get the tune via Internet ehehe.

I'm not touching a finger in the ECUs. Im not a mechanic and I don't want my car to be rendered useless while I wait for the ECUs to come back tuned.

Coming from my E90 M3 I was hoping that Mike would soon be tuning on our F10 M5's! This is terrific news and I will be first in line once his OBDII version is released!

I doubt it. Pretty certain this is bench flashed. Torque number looks lower than I expected.

Dont worry when all is said and done this will be the best, the most reliable and best priced tune on the market.

Rest assured!

You will gain an additional ~40 hp. We're in the process of developing downpipes for our F10 M5. This is just an estimate, it may be more.
Mike - any updates on the flash via OBDII?

Worth watching but I ran their stage 1 tune on an e90 M3 for four years without any problems. This included multiple track days and daily driving. Just a reference point, as there were no turbos involved.

Thank you, we expect the same reliability on this platform as well. We've got quite a few out there, and I daily drive my 2015 M5 without any issues.

Just an update - for those that are interested in this software:

Once the ECU's are opened and flashed by us, you can use our end user USB to OBD-II cable to flash the vehicle back to stock, flash the tune back, and request changes to the calibration. This will be useful for updates/modifications done to the tune in the future. The full OBD II solution is still in the works. Contact us with any questions.

Thank you!

Still had to bench flash...I don't see how the initial decryption can be addressed without the bench flash. Bruno has provided the industry with an amazing platform to tune our cars..two tunes on and I am loving the evolving changes that have been made.

Any updates on how long it will be before the full OBD II solution is released? Inquiring minds wanna know!

BPMSport OBD II Stage 2 tune

Here is my review of the OBD Stage II tune. I had the Stage I on my comp package car, and the car has been amazing to drive these past couple years.

I was having problems with the rear breaking loose in most occasions, and so I went from PSS tires to Pilot Sport Cup 2s. They improved hook up drastically (I live in the desert and don't see too much rain, so I've decided the trade off of these tires vs. the limited standing water I'd see is well worth it).

Since then I've put in sport cat downpipes, and a full Akra system. With the improved breathing, I contacted Mike and we did the remote OBD Stage II tune.

The car is significantly faster. The tuning is seamless. You would have no idea that this tune was not factory.

My only complaint now is that the PSC2s now have problems hooking up! I had a friend in the car the other day on the highway who wanted to 'see what the car can do'. I simply buried the throttle and smoked the tires at 90+ mph. Not PSSs mind you, but PSC2s. The car is seriously fast, but still can be driven around a slow as you like with no downside.

Bravo Benvo!

Mike, can you briefly explain the process of how one could switch back to a stock map from your tune? Would we have to contact you first?

You would press program ECU memory, select the stock file that we send you, and wait for the process to complete. Then restore coding data and you're done.

Simple as that. This will also remove the OBD patches/"unlocks" etc that allow flashing via the port.

Thanks. I am assuming I could always go back to a tuned file without hassle?

As long as you don't consider those steps a hassle, then I don't see why not!

How is the long term effect on the car? I'm looking at purchasing a car with this tune but I'm worried it will mess up parts of the engine.

As long as the car is properly cared for, maintained, and not abused, there shouldn't be any issues.

We found out the other day that an M5 we tuned years ago was being rented out by the new owner on Turo with 87 octane and our Stage II tune. He's been renting it for quite some time, and it's still running strong.

We definitely advised him that this was a terrible idea, but nonetheless it's a positive that the engine has held up to abuse from multiple parties with less than sufficient fuel quality for such a long period of time.

The car I'm referring to here is the one in this video (on left) it's no slouch - made nearly 700wtq if I recall correctly.

Thank you for the response.

How hard would it be to remove the tune?

It's extremely easy, you'll be provided with our proprietary cable that will allow you to flash between the tuned and stock file(s) from the comfort of your garage.

We'll also be launching a Christmas/New Year sale very soon! Will post updates once everything is finalized.
