Oil change is pretty straight forward right? I plan on doing mine soon, and my wife's n55 X5. Any gotchas or things I should have on hand?

The car takes about 8.4 quarts and the sucky part is that our cars don't have a dipstick. So what I did was I poured 8 quarts in, drove the car around (so it gets up to operating temperature), tested the oil level and added more if needed. Its really easy to add more, but hard to remove extra. Also you need to buy this oil filter wretch. I went to 4 auto shops and they all didn't have the correct one for BMW. This is a must! https://www.amazon.com/86-4mm-Flutes...57CKNJ5C7C1PEE And don't forget to reset the iDrive service. I thought about making a youtube video about the oil change process but its hard to film and work sometimes. Maybe next oil change I've make a video. |

Finally got my replacement front lip back from the shop. I ended up just installing it at home like I did to the first one. I also changed the grill back to the black one for a little bit to see how it looks.

+1 on the all-black grills.

Now that I look at these photos, I'm going to have to adjust the M5 decal, its a little sideways. |

Stage two tune completed. I got some fabworx downpipes installed and went with a stage two tune from BPMSport. Very happy with these downpipes. I had a set of AMS downpipes before but they smelled so bad of gas. But with these downpipes, its barely there. Also because I have no mufflers/resonators it sounds perfect. Its pretty quite if I want it to be (like under 2k rpm) but when its higher rpms, it sounds like a beast. And I can hear the turbo's spooling up much better

Decieded to back to the all black grills now that I'm stage two. I've been seeing more and more cars with the ///M colored grills and most of them aren't M cars. Plus I kinda of like the blacked out look

All black definitely looks better. Your right I too am seeing a lot of non M5's with the striped grills. Nice to have the M5 badge on the front too.
