Finally got around to install my cabin air filters. The install was pretty easy to follow (YouTube video) but doing it was kinda of frustrating mainly because of the limited room & working upside down. Went for a drive afterwards and the air feels fresher & I feel like I smell less of the "Catless downpipes smell".

It's there underneath but the small screws and bent over position to replace them with a light is uncomfortable to say the least.
Always wanted to ask what is the position with the catless d/pipes at inspection time,do you have to put the original ones back on to pass the smog test..

We don't really have inspections in the states but we do have emissions tests. It all varies by state. I know California has pretty strict rules in place right now. Luckily Washington just stopped it's emissions testing this year https://ecology.wa.gov/Air-Climate/A...ons-check-ends . Even though they stopped this year, I'm sure I would have passed either way.

Most places just OBD port scan you. If you tune out the catless downpipes you pass.

I took every single emissions device off my trans am and passed the test because I tuned everything out. This was is Maryland.

Yes, you need two cars. You just have to adjust the settings on your camera to get the right picture (shoot in manual mode always). No mounting, I just hold the camera out of the window (I use this wrist camera strap to hold onto the camera)

I'd suggest for starting out to get a Canon rebel series (currently there is a T7 at Costco for a good deal). Or buying a used camera as well.

Shamefully I have put more time into researching cameras than car mods. But I want to capture it all so first things first. I was leaning towards a canon m50, but i will have to check out the rebel. It seems close enough in price. I want to make videos too for youtube.

I have a Canon 7D but if I were buying something else I would definitely go Mirrorless...I vote for the m50 :-)

Yeah thaT seems to be the big difference. The m50 is way smaller because of being mirrorless and everything else is similar in that price range on the canon lineup..

I stumbled upon some panasonic GH5 reviews, its a little pricier but it does everything and has some amazing features. Alot of professional photographers claiming its their favorite. The lens ecosystem is way cheaper too. The canon lens prices have gone crazy.

If you want to go mirrorless, I'd highly recommend getting a Sony A7ii (that's what I just got for Christmas). Its about $900 new but definitely worth it if you want to due video as well. The auto focus on it is amazing. Its pretty light and compact.

Apparently those sonys a7s dominate in low light with that full frame. Gh5 wins almost everywhere else...(except auto focus)

hmmm... tough choices, I should probably decide based on lens prices.

In NY they OBD scan you as well, even with MOST tunes only shut off the CEL they still say not ready on OBD

Unless there is a tune that will show OBD ready that i am unaware of
