I've had a good experience over bluetooth with my Galaxy Note 3.
I use the built in samsung song player and Tune-in quite a bit. Phone call audio quality is very good. |

I have a HTC One and everything works great, from integrating phone calls via blue tooth to playing music and using the internet.

I have a Note 3 and only listened to music over Bluetooth audio. (Too lazy to connect and disconnect every time I step in and out of the car)
I didn't like the fact that I don't have full control over playlists/folders so I got myself an ipod nano that's hooked up to the car 24/7 and love it. Shows album art cover and you have full control of your playlists. Overall apple integration is way better and smoother than droids. And this is coming from a Droid fan.

Said another way: BMW's integration with Apple products is much better and smoother than with Android. |

I know the apple phones work better.
However when they say in the compatibility list that the note 3 and BMW apps work, then they should work. |

BMW Apps do work with (some) Android phones , however a smaller number of apps and in order to get it to work you have to have the BMW App NOT installed before you plug in the phone via the USB connector. Once the phone is connected you install the BMW App and it should show up in your iDrive
As others have said the Apple experience is unfortunately much better / smoother . I wish BMW would pay more attention to the Android market For example MOG works great with Apple devices and BMW, on Android it may take a few attempts to just get it to work and often it will get stuck and not allow you to switch back etc (also the user interface is much more limited on Android/MOG than Apple/MOG)

With that said I still believe that BMW has a better relationship with Apple.

I have been unable to get the apps to work with my HTC One. Did you do the install after connecting to USB, as jmh suggested?

It is asking me to connect the USB cable.
The USB cable is of course connected to my phone. The BMW dealership lended me the BMW-special USB cable. No luck with that either...

The combox was replaced.
Unfortunately the BMW Apps are still not working. What is interesting is that I had a 530d loan car and it was working like a dream with my Samsung Note 3.
