Dyno'ed my stock m5 and now its knocking
Sooooo I decided to do a baseline dyno to see where I was at stock. Did 2 runs and right after the second one the car died and would not start, just a hard click and nothing.
They put a ratchet on the crank pulley to turn it over by hand and got it to start and run but now its knocking pretty good around 3k. So it will be towed to my shop to diagnose, but thanks to my perfect timing no one is working until thursday. Im guessing its a bent rod at this point. Car is a 2014 100% stock with 51k on the clock, and a fresh oil change 1000 miles ago. My one saving grace is I ponied up for a premium warranty. Ive only had the damn thing for 2 months....time for a drink. On the bright side it put down 500/525 on a mustang dyno |

With your warranty, its a blessing in disguise; near impossible to do 5th gear pulls on the street; you'd never know otherwise.
Those are good numbers for stock, but if you end up getting a new engine then its moot, lol.
