Coolant leak from cap

Hi guys,

I’ve recently noticed coolant seeping out of my coolant cap (engine coolant res not the res by the ecu’s). It’s been blisteringly hot in the uk lately but would that cause a cap to fail?

I have very recently had burbles added to my stage two map, and it’s only happened since the burbles. Coincident or not?

I did flush all the coolant today, replaced with new and bled air the air out, but again same thing happened and the cap is on tight! The car is an early 2012 m5 with 54k

I’ll get a new cap tomorrow but has anyone had a similar experience?

Sorry for the crappy pic but it's the one on the right hand side of the engine bay (if you're standing in front of the car)

Hi guys, I changed the cap out today, the new one seems to be doing the job much better with no leaking
