Parking an M5 in a supermarket.

When parking my M5 in a supermarket I find it worthwhile going further out.It is risky parking next to cars with the M5's alloy doors being so easily dented.I admit sometimes I drive into the wider parents with children spaces when there are more than a few spaces.I was once questioned by a 'red neck' when I parked up in one and replied to him my family were already inside.

I park next to another nice car who probably respects property as much as I do.

As a father of 2 kids, one 3yo and one 3mo old, people like you really trigger me. I don't care how expensive your car is, don't park in family or disabled slots if you don't belong there.

Same here, as well as the gym, going out to eat, and any other place that has cars. And Every.Single.Time I get asked why by my better half. She thinks I'm nuts

I'm the pits to someone on here but I also have a ''kids in car'' plastic window sign at the ready which I put on when I park up in a p/k space. The safety of my motor is paramount as a dented door is not an option.

I do not bring it to a regular supermarket. If I ended up going to target, Ill park a mile away where there is nobody.

In the mall, Ill park it away as possible with the rest or park with one side on a wall.

I always park away from other cars no matter where I am going. My wife does the same, she is very particular about her vehicle.

I normally park at next to side curb and as close to the curb as possible to avoid door dings.

I always back my cars into the spots using mirrors. Knock on woods, nothing ever happens yet.

Generally, parking as far away as possible works for me since its usually lazy bastards and their spawns that ding doors. That being said, i still have a nasty ding in my X5M, this was done when my wife had to use the car to bring our son to karate.... 1 fucking time and she does her best to park far, it's just the plaza is small and parking is limited. I didn't drive the car for a month after it happened, i wanted to ghost ride it off a cliff. I frequently wish death upon that rotten individual.

Specifically, in the supermarket we go to, i have a spot in the back that has 5 foot (non-park-able) space to the right of it, against a fence. It allows me hang over the right side of the space, and be 7 or soo feet from someone else the decides to park all the way in the back, on my left side. Never has anyone parked near me but now that i typed this; honey boo boo and her family will park their beater next to my car and ding it all up.

I'm the same way, however, the only door ding on my last M4 came from someone parking in that hashed "do not park" spot and smashing their door in to my car. Sometimes things are just out of your control.

That's why I let my wife do the grocery shopping

*I've seen an M4 owner parking up in a Costco put two small rubber cones aside his motor facing the next parking space.
