Please HELP, Buy this F10 or not??
Hello Fellas,
Would you pass on an F10 M5 cause of full leather?? I sold my e39 M5 a few months back. I bought my plane ticket to pickup a 2014 F10 M5 this Friday out of state. 2 Owners Monte Carlo Blue B&O Executive Package Cold Weather Package Driver Assistance Package LED Package Car has 32,500 Miles and we agreed on $46k Just found out half hour ago the car has all the options except "Full Leather" it has black Extended leather. Is that enough reason to pass on car? Is it a good price and I should just buy it? Please help a fellow enthusiast! Thanks in advance Last edited by Somy6; 07-31-2018 at 08:43 PM.. |

I've had an F10 M5 both ways. First without then with. When I didn't have it, I didn't miss it. But now that I do, I won't go without it again. It's so...niiiiiiccceeeee

I've extended black leather in my M5 and have had full leather in an M6. In black, its pretty hard to tell. If you love the car, get it.
For me, the other options were more important. |

If you hear no mechanical noise! Buy it,..if you hear mechanical noise,...if engine,..don't buy,...if tranny,..ask for $8k-9k discount,...if rear diff,...ask for $4k-$5k discount,...if brakes,...ask fro $1500 discount per axle! If iDrive,...ask for $1800 discount,...if any other crazy electrical issue,..ask for $1500 discount,...as this would be the approximate cost to have any of those issues fixed by a BMW dealership! Hth...
BTW,...the mileage is great for this car! If you treat it well,..you'll have a car that just eats through gas, oil and tires!

I have a Monte Carlo blue with Extended Leather with Black interior. You really can't tell the difference that much because it is black. All my passengers love it. Only Hard Core Bimmerphiles notice the difference. Get the car.

Buy it; no big deal especially on black leather.

I'm so happy you guys told me to buy it
I bought a 2002 e39 M5 a few months ago from Utah. I flew there and drove it back. WOW, What a difference. In my opinion, anyone who says "BMW lost their way" has no idea what they are talking about. BMW outdid themselves with this one. I've owned e36 M3's, e46 M3's, e92 M3, e39 M5. Also, Drove E60 M5 and X5 M and nothing is anywhere close to this M5. How comfort meets sportiness in this M5 just blows me away. Baby blue is happy to have a big brother in garage Last edited by Somy6; 08-06-2018 at 10:33 AM.. |

Congrats! Pics aren't showing up because the way you have them hosted. Easier to just have the app for the forum and upload them through your phone, they will attach easier that way. Enjoy!

My friend in Utah has the White M3. We went on a drive by the mountains Saturday morning. It was really nice going back and forth between the two. Sure glad I picked the M5, no doubt about it! I picked up a 2002 Blue e39 M5 3 months ago from Utah and I did the same drive back on Saturday with the F10. In my opinion, BMW didn't lose their way. They took their M cars to a whole new level. The F10 and the E39 are both stock so driving both back from Utah to AZ I now know for sure BMW did some serious work putting this baby together. I'm beyond impressed with everything on this car, I really am and I'm so happy you guys told me to buy it! |
