I've stayed Singapore for almost 7 years and all I could say is that cars there are VERY expensive! Space there is VERY limited, that's why the government limit cars on the road. Public transportation however is top notch!

Back in 1998 when the e36 M3 was still in production, it cost more than $150,000 Singapore dollars. That's about $124,000 US dollars.

Nice collection of cars btw Ben.

Hi cs4444 there is no comparison between these 2 as one is a true sports car and the other a sport sedan. The M5 0- 100 km/h in 4.4 sec and the Ferrari 0-100km/h in 3 sec plus. I think is not fair to compare this 2 cars

Hi IS3and Me in Singapore it is very difficult to get old school cars here because of the COE which you are suppose to keep the car for 10 years. To make things worst we drive on the wrong side of the road so very difficult to get those cars that you have mentioned

Ben

Sorry for all the questions. Like I said before, I am also waiting for an f10 m5. I keep changing my mind on options. Did you get the 19 or 20 wheels? What trim inside and what other high level options did you go for?

phish_100 I highly recommend the 20" . I have the chance to drive the 19" and 20" on the test car I drove and I found the 20" to be better.

Ben,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and your collection. Very inspirational.

I ordered my first M car (2012 E92 M3) and am anxiously awaiting delivery. I know one day I'll hold a picture of that car like you did with your E46.

Three questions for you:

1. What are the speed limits in Singapore? Are they tightly enforced?

2. Do you service and maintain all your vehicles yourself or do you have someone take care of that for you? Where do you take them (especially the 458)?

3. Is petrol expensive there? What is the average price of a liter of petrol?

Thanks again

well they did name the new grey "Singapore grey", which IMO is cheesy... but shows how impt the SG mkt is to them... im from SG & we're being put forth as the next Swiss franc now that SNB has capped the forex rate...

Im driving an E90M3 myself n am getting tempted by this M5 article LOL

Yes in Singapore we do have speed limit and most of it is very slow like 70km/h. In the highway is about 90km/h.

2. Do you service and maintain all your vehicles yourself or do you have someone take care of that for you? Where do you take them (especially the 458)?
We have an authorize agent here that does all the serving and repairs.

3. Is petrol expensive there? What is the average price of a liter of petrol?
Yes our petrol is about SGD$2.00 per litre .

Thanks again
Please look at my reply below your questions. Tks

But I would like to make it clear that I am not paid by BMW or anyone to say good things about the car. I was just like everyone of you out there who has entered into the M5 program. I was shocked to know that I was selected by BMW M to test the new M5 and even before that I have already booked the M5. Is just that to me M cars are now at their best and because I have so much confidence in them that I just book the car before testing.

Like many of you out there I am a petrol head I buy the cars because I like the way they drive and not because I want to show off . It was a very tough decision to make when M power wanted to do Home Interview with me. In fact I have requested them to delete a lot of the photo they took which I think is very personal and not publish on the web. But I really did not knew that it will be posted at this forum too guess that is the power of the internet. As much as you guys want to know how the F10 drives I would gladly share the info with you all. Just put up your question and I will try to reply them as much as I can . As for those who knows me or live in Singapore please say Hi so that I can know you too. Is been a very exciting days since the video was launch and yes all the scene you saw was actual footage and not camera trick. The power slide and the launch you saw was real cause the car is very good and it can do that in the hand of a normal driver like me. M-power the most powerful letter in the world and they are not wrong
Honestly I don't care about the cars, just show me more pictures of your carbon AP.
