Carved out of fresh Alpine Snow: Neil McRae's 2014 Alpine White BMW M5 ZCP DCT
Picked the car up just over a week ago from Park Lane BMW - these guys did a great job and I've bought loads of cars from them because of that.
I decided I wanted a competition car after a couple of test drives, the way the car handles compared to the regular car is a lot better for what I want in a car. There is no doubt though you lose a touch of refinement but I'm cool with that compromise. The sound from the ZCP exhaust is superb and it should be on the standard car in my view. Steering is substantially more direct particularly at the centre. Suspension is notable stiffer, maybe as much as 40% and the lowering makes cornering a touch more precise. No it still can't hide its weight but the car is a marathon runner doing a 10 second 100m. The black wheels really finish this car off. LEDs are fantastic much more depth to the light than Xenons, and the new navigation system is great, with Online Entertainment. Also nice touches like being able to scroll through the track list that is already randomised on the HUD along with phone contacts on the HUD is much better. My spec: F10 M5 Saloon S63 4.4i Alpine White Black Extended Merino Leather 20" M Double-spoke style 343M - Black alloy wheels Bootlid operation, powered Comfort Access Soft-close doors Reversing Assist Through-loading Split-folding rear Lumbar support M Multi-function Adaptive LED Headlights 12V power sockets Surround-view Loudspeaker system - harman/kardon surround sound BMW Online Services Real Time Traffic Information Information Plus Remote Services Internet Online Entertainment M rear spoiler Sun protection glass Headlining, Anthracite Alcantara Competition package Speed limit display Rear Entertainment System. Some pictures below, going to do a shoot shortly, tried to do it today but its been non-stop rain since I got the car! My grand daughter Amelia loves it! Very witty post
Glad you're enjoying the compromise Assuming it's yours, how are you finding the M135i; BMW have done a good job on the std 1 series so the M135i must feel pretty special. Last edited by Dionysus; 10-20-2013 at 05:53 PM.. |

Yeah or to be more direct: Carved out of a Brick of Cocaine (although we should save that for a frozen white car).
Nice car. Love the shot with the baby.

hehe, I thought saying cocaine might get me another warning LOL
The M135i is superb. one of the best cars BMW has done in a long time. you can really throw it around and it's amazingly quick.
