Creaking/squeezing front suspension BMW M5 F10

Hello,

I have a pretty iritaring sound coming from mine front end on my M5 F10.

Sound appear only when driving with low speed.

For example i hear the noise on uneven roads when going slow, and i also hear it when i start roling from the trafficlight for example.

Please see the vido i have uploaded. What could the problem be? I have read all about wheelbearing, dry bushes, sway bar and so on. What do you think guys?

Hope somebody can help me out with this, it is so irritaring..

Sounds like a balljoint to me or possibly the strut. You weren't turning the wheel at all, correct?

I don't mean to be rude but if you don't know what a strut is you should just find a good independent shop to look at it for you and get you straightened out.

Ahhh. Idk if this is helpful but you could call it a dampener or a shock. Maybe those terms will make more sense. If not google it and check out the image.

Shock makes sense for me, hehe. I will have it checked by some mechanic these days. Can not find the fault..

Thread revival. So my 2015 just start making this creaking noise. I really only notice going forward at this time and under 5mph. Bar is great otherwise. Was a fix ever determined. Had her up in the air today checking bushings. The rear difff mount bushing was the only one I thought had to much play in it even though I can't see any cracking, but it could just be ripped.

Thoughts?

Mine is also doing this - the exact same noise but im fairly certain its coming from the rear of the car. Ive done some research and some threads have said rear sway bar, but i obviously want to be more certain before i start swapping parts. NOT TO MENTION, and hopefully im wrong about this but it looks like BMW sells the rear sway bar bushings WITH the sway bar. If this is correct then EFF you BMW this is getting old.

Yeah, I’ve jacked her up twice looking at every bushing I can see. I’m going to let it ride for now I guess. Rear for me as well.

Finally cured a creak/groan my car had in the rear at low speeds. This was my second time under the car checking bushings. Then, I decided to check all the bolts on the rear axle bracing.

Bingo! The two forward passenger side bolts on brace were missing. But, I was wrong, they were still there. They had twisted and snapped the heads off. 600+ whp and wtq will break things I guess.

I got the broken stumps out and replaced all four of the forward bolts with grade 9 instead of the factory grade 8 bolts.

Noise is gone for $8 dollars and less than an hour of my time.

Just visit Home Depot or your favorite fastener store. I used Allen head M8-1.25 x 35 mm Class 9 with washers. I tightened them but didn’t torque them.

I'm talking about pictures of the two forward passenger side bolts on brace that were missing on the car not the tool you used

I know this post is from a long time ago but I had the same exact issue and creaking sound in my front right suspension. So annoying.

31122284978 is the part that was replaced. All is fine and good now.

Thanks for noting that, the same thing is happening to mine and someone told me it was the bushings. But this part you sent makes more sense.

Thought I'd put this vid on of what may be causing the noise on the lower control arms.
