Car wont make over 19psi. Isn't making proper power. Still can't figure it out. 28 months and $48,000 later...

I went to Autohaus Frankfurt and I don't know if they have enough experience in performance cars.

Carbahn has been great trying to help but they are out of ideas and continuing to pour money into this car.

Endlessly frustrated and don't know what to do but take it back and drive and it learn to live w/ all the lost money.

I don't know if I'll ever modify a BMW again.

I have to agree.... I have KW HAS, exhaust and BPM Stage 1 tune and my car is a blast. I see no reason to go anymore, can't use it anyway lol. I find myself more frustrated when someone gets in front of me merging on a highway because I just want to do a pull lol.

Well thats all I did. A tune and nothing more. Both my M6 and M5 engines blew up in less than 10k miles with nothing more than a tune. I took the M5 to the dealer to replace the engine ($30k) and it was fine after. Decided to go a more safe route taking my M6 to Autohaus Frankfurt and having a built Carbahn engine put in. 29 months later I still have no car and its still not making as much power as it did stock w/ a tune.

Money keeps running out the window.

Did you change your map sensors? Who tuned your car?

How are you logging to know your only making 19psi?

BM3, JB4? Have any logs you could share?

Did you make sure you don't have vacuum leak in the exhaust?

I have a CarBahn stage 2 engine for my S55. I initially had pureturbo stage 2
Hiflows and i ran into valvefloat around 30psi. Luckily nothing happened to my engine and we soon realized the springs needed to be upgraded. This was never done on the S55 platform before as there were only a handful of people pushing this much power. Once i upgraded the valvesprings, car made 800whp easily with ps2 hiflows. It is now a standard upgrade for the S55 from CarBahn and when i found about the issue, this was a standard upgrade for the S63tu already.

Today, i am running 36psi daily on full e85(sensor e80) at about 950whp/800ish wtq. I daily it and i’m about 6k miles in on my e85 map now and no issues. Car made slightly over 1k on Ignite Red.

Dme tuned at 22psi with 91. Have not tried the 100 tune yet. Per Mo I need to add meth kit for a safety net and more power. I’m very happy with it now. Im sure motor can take plenty more but not looking to break a record.

I have very little knowledge. But based on the above post. Try switching out your turbo set up. Multiple people have stated they have had issues with pure turbos with the built motor. Logically it may not make sense, but other people have experienced this issue, it’s worth a try if you feel like you are at the end of the road. A few post up some one stated the just got back there built motor set up with gtx turbos, so it’s worth a try

Why not just try 100 octane and see how it runs?

What boost levels is he talking about with his tune to run 100 that needs meth?

I can run my car on MS-103 at 25-26psi no meth without any issues.

I think you can put higher octane in and add JB4 to control boost and see how she runs. Motor can take it.

Why the hell you put your car any kind of remap whitout dyno. In Finland good tuners always make their remap in dyno and drive logs out. 🤔

I'm confused, he has a map for 100 octane that he can switch to. Not sure why Mo would say he needs meth with his turbos, 100 octane and that engine with improved fueling. However, it's his tune and do not know what tune he has done for 100 octane.

Another built M5 with same motor and stock housings with GTX internals was running mid 20's PSI on 93 pump.
