DCT removal

Anyone have a diy for dct transmission removal? I’m planning to upgrade my clutches this winter, but wanted to see how hard it is before I tackle the task.

If your asking for a diy to remove a transmission you arent ready to upgrade ur clutches yourself

Or maybe you are taking the trans to a shop?

It would be like removing and other trans, exhaust, tailshaft, heat shields, bolts

I actually just like being prepared with all tools and any instructions to make it easier. I would actually just be dropping the trans to pull the basket to send to ssp for them to assemble it since they offer to assemble it for free with the purchase of their clutches.

If I were you I would just do the whole thing yourself. You'll need basic size tools for the job. Once the exhaust is off, access will be easy. Don't forget that BMW uses alot of female torx bolts, especially on their gearboxes.

Once you've got the box out, another 10 mins should see the clutches installed.

Don't over complicate it, just dig in.
