Who is running catless DP's with Eisenmann Race?

Currently paired my Eisenmann Race axleback with AMS catted downpipes. Sound is very loud and deep, but not as many cracks and pops as I would hope. Would going to catless give me that sound? Or would I be better off removing the stock resonator?

Any members have a catless/Erace setup they would like to share?

Thanks!

I had ss race and catless

I found it just droned a lot when cruising
Would not recommend catless and race rear unless u like drone

Best setup and ive tried 4 is stock exhaust and catless
Sounds great and louder than u think

I agree with this.^^ I'm running catless ESS DPs with the stock CP exhaust and it sounds great. It is louder than you'd expect but its a good type of loud.

thanks for the feedback guys. I am going to stick with the E-race rear so it seems the best setup is what I currently have with the AMS high flow cats. Catless will probably be way more drone.

so for you catless/stock exhaust guys...how bad is the smell? I had a 100 cell sport-cat Akra system on my e90 M3 and you could pick up a touch of the smell but it wasn't too bad. Wondering if catless will be terrible. Been a while since I ran an off road x pipe on my fox body 5.0 lol (Like 22 years!!)

Mine stinks. Hahaha. I think it’s just a given with catless DPs.

If you want more pops and crackles talk to a tuner. On the stock tune, you won't hear much pop/crackle even with a catless setup. I know BM3, OFT, mission all offer some sort of option to enable more pops/crackles. I ran a full eisenmann race with catless Downpipes, and it sounded glorious. If you want to get rid of drone, install some valves into the muffler and get a exhaustmeister so you can turn it on and off.

I daily drive my catless DP and race exhaust.
I get a ton of compliments on it.

It only drones at like 60-62 and sometimes under a load at 37-40ish. But it's really not that bad in my opinion. I usually just grab the next gear.

For me personally it's worth it.

I run stock gutted DP with RPI GTM CBE and the droning from 1500-2000 is bad. Other than that the car sounds amazing, usually riding on a lower gear to keep above 2k rpm.

Thinking about going back to stock exhaust with the catted DP.

Wish the e-race had the OEM style valve setup; I would seriously consider that setup + catless DP's in the future. I drive in "eco/comfort" 90% of the time but when I want loud, I want to be able to choose it.

You can get OEM style valves welded onto your e race. I was gonna go that route but ended up switching to an akra

Thought e race was valved and my tuner told me they work similar to the oem. it's simply louder closer to the visceral e60 v10 or old school AMG V8s. To get the best you will need to disable ASD in your car. I did sit in a e-race exhaust moddwd car (stock otherwise) and it's not bad I foresee you may be thinking.

If you have high flow or even catless DPs it's a different animal and that's where your friends and family start to hate you as at that point you cannot have any conversations in the car (physically or virtually present).

For some reason I always get an issue quoting two in a single thread. I wanted to ask how you like the Akra over stock (given you wanted to go the e-race route)?

Akra sounds super dope. I would estimate with valves open, it's maybe ~20% louder than the stock competition exhaust. Not as great as the e race, but really good. The valves really help with drone/rasp. Overall I just wanted a quieter exhaust since my wife drives the car a lot.
