I’ve reached the 200k mile mark. Daily driven since 2016 and well cared for.
Loved every single mile I’ve sat in the cockpit of this magnificent machine. Don’t know if I was the lucky one or if the way I maintained it has made a difference. My regular maintenance included: ** 5-7k oil changes using 5w/40 ** Spark plug change every 25-35k miles ** Coil packs replaced every 50k miles ** Never launched ** Never WOT from standstill ** Always allow proper warm up ** Always allow proper cool down At 190k miles, I rebuilt the engine due to bad valve stems and/or piston rings. I now have 10k on the rebuilt engine which is now forged and bullet proof in my opinion. While in there, I replaced some worn parts but nonetheless, everything was still working good considering the mileage. What’s crazy is that I’ve only put one set of rotors and pads on since 2016. Steel rotors not ceramic. Been using Carbo Tech 1521 pads and haven’t had any issues. Albeit, it’s time to replace the pads and rotors now. Stop babying your M5 and drive it until the wheels fall off (figuratively speaking of course). |

Awesome. How's the driver's seat holding up? My 2013 is at 125K and the seat is showing it's age. Not bad, but the passenger seat looks way better.

The seats are good considering the mileage. I use Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner once a month to preserve them.
TBH, the center console has taken more of hit than the seats. Photos attached were taken this morning. |

No. BC Forged HCS-21’s. Tires are PS4S (275/30/21 front and 305/25/21 rear)
Forgot what offsets I’m running but I have no rubbing whatsoever. Wheels are a 2 piece construction with a 3 piece look. The 3 piece HRE wheels I had on before these were prone to leaks. |

They look great and the width is good. I recently installed 265/35 305/30 and so far I’m happy, but I think 275 in the front and 315 in the rear will be ideal

Super impressive!! Still looks beautiful in that black. Especially with those baller wheels. These cars age like fine wine really!
Before your rebuild, were you still on factory rod bearings? What about injectors? HPFP? How’s your DCT holding up? Cheers! |

How has your suspension components held up? Surely you're not on your factory struts or bushings right? |

Running KW HAS V4 coilovers with the stock comp swaybats. Very little body roll but not jaw cracking over bumps. I replaced the bushings at roughly 80k miles and remember feeling an immediate improvement so I can imagine the bushings are nearing the end again. Hard to determine how bad they are without comparison but for now, they seem to be pretty good.

Magnificent stuff… thanks for sharing.
Before the rebuild, how was the oil consumption across its lifespan, and did you replace your turbos at any stage? |

I used liquid moly 5W/40 starting at roughly 60k miles. Oil consumption was zero as I kept the intervals around 5000 miles. However, I ingested something that destroyed one of my turbos but the stock ones did fine for 180k miles with no issues.
