Painting wheel face

I was thinking about having a company paint the face of my rims to match the gray color that's on the inside of the wheel. This would darken the wheel, give it a uniform look, and get rid of the polished machined face which is too shiny for me.

I've powder coated rims before and although this is the most durable finish, the last place I went to blew chunks of metal out of the rim and just powered over it. Plus it's not cheap here, about $180 a wheel, and you have to remove the tires and rebalance which is a pain.

Anybody done this or similar? If so any pics and input would be great.

I have the comp pak wheels - style 601M and want to do the same for the same reasons. I've had several people report good results from Wheel Ding King - local to you.

It might be a better call to sell your OEM's or trade them for something with a finish you are looking for. The stock wheels will most likely retain their value better with the original finish, as there will be people looking for them for lease returns, ect.
