Moving on...
Hey Guys.
I am moving on from the M5 platform. It's been a lot of fun and a great challenge the past 8 years fiddling with the E60 and two F10's. Met some great people in the process; most of who I continue to keep in touch with. Also learned a LOT in the process about these cars and what they are capable of and also hope I have been able to help folks along the way as well. I am still going to finish up the development of the billet rear diff mount - it is done and production is starting in the next few weeks. In addition to that I can also make the bored 4mm throttle bodies with the metal plates. PM me if you want any of those parts. My 1300hp setup has moved onto very solid hands and you can expect some results when they are ready to share. I expect it to even grow and perform better than where I took it. These things take a while as I had the motor partially disassembled to inspect the pistons, valves and rod bearings prior to selling it. It looked to be in great shape so kudos to Carbahn for building a solid product! Also want to acknowledge all the people and companies I have worked with for this project. Pure Turbos DMETuning SSP Burger Tuning Carbahn Autoworks DriveShaft Shop The car was featured in the August issue of BMW performance magazine so all is not lost and I will remember this project dearly. Decided to move onto the Audi RS3. I picked one up for a great price and am mapping out what to do with it. It's a great little platform with a LOT of potential as people are easily running 9s ET's with just bolt-ons. Will still lurk these boards... and thanks for putting up with my rants! |

Thanks for sharing, thanks for update, and thanks for everything you've done for the community. I know you won't be totally absent from these forums. Hope to see you back in an F90 M5 one day and take it to the extremes. Good luck with your new RS3 though. That car is awesome. I won't be taking my car as far but I'll have new stuff to post up soon. Take care bud, and happy motoring.

I'm just getting into the platform, adding to my e39 M5 and replacing it as the daily. In my research on this board I have seen your posts throughout. You are well respected and very knowledgeable. It seems to me that you will be missed! Thank you for the contributions you have made that are a permanent part of this board now.
Good luck in your new endeavor and please browse this forum when you can! |
