For M5 I-Drive connectivity I'm torn apart between iPhone 6 plus vs Note 4!

I Pre-ordered both Note 4 and very highly surely efficiently bendable - iPhone 6 plus and yet to decide (And torn apart for the first time in years!!) and if Note 4 like Note 3 doesn't work well with BMW I drive I will have to bite the bullet and go for the iPhone 6 plus. (1. No stylus 2. Only 8MP camera 3. Taller 5 mm 4. More expensive 5. Less PPI 401 vs 515 PPI 6. No swappable battery! 7. Control freaks at Apple dictate which app I can use or share to!! 8. iPhone looks cuter though and more solid 8. Front facing camera a joke on iPhone.) And despite all that if Samsung Note 4 doesn't work with the car smoothly that is a biggie for me !!

Help me guys? Decide if you know something I don't !!
Why all my Samsung devices never work well with my cars !!

I am an android person (Pun intended-
Used to be iPhone fan till control has become intolerable and Note showed up with the huge screen !
You can't even make the freaking mail app black/dark theme on Apple Platform!
You have to jailbreak it to do this!

Hope this thread gets some traction unlike my M5 -

As an Android user, I've been disappointed with the limited integration with my M5 (perhaps better outside of the US). While this is frustrating, Android is years ahead of iOS from my perspective, which is more important for me.

Dont get a Samsung, it's the worst phones, The androids have some nicer hardware out there. HTC, Sony, Nexus, they are all better than Samsung.. Check out the sony Z3 with a 4k screen.

No problems with iPhone6. It's a fantastic phone.

But the 6 Plus might be a little hard to mount somewhere in the cabin of the M5.

I used the 6 plus for a day and its heading back to the box. Way too big for a 5.5" phone compared to my LG G3, which has as big a screen. The size is insane!!!

I ordered a 6 (4.7"). These giant phones are a waste of time in my opinion. If you can't operate the phone fully with one hand then it's useless as a smartphone. For when I have 2 hands available, I have an iPad.

I think 4.7 is the perfect size. I bought a 5" Android phone last year and I found I couldn't perfectly operate it with one hand so I returned it.

No problems with iP 6 here. Only that the snap in that I so painfully had imported from Germany after they first came out is now useless.

Same pain soon when those new snap-ins become available for the iP6.

I agree. So far I really like the 4.7in iPhone6. I always said that I would get one and it's great. I have a feeling that the next revolution one day is going to be flexible screen technology. So that we can start fitting these larger phones in our pockets by being able to fold them.

Oh yeah that sucks. I didn't even think about that. I've never used my iPhone connected to my USB port in the M5 or a snap in adapter. I already tried plugging in my new iPhone6 into the M5's USB port and the phone went haywire . It kept acting like it was being charged on and off again and the car didn't recognize it. I have no problems using bluetooth for everything and in fact I prefer it now.

Strange, mine works perfectly fine with USB port and lightining-USB cable. I prefer that over Bluetooth Audio connection as the search is much more capable. Also, with the iP6 now finally having some decent 128G space, I finally don't need that additional iPod in my center console anymore for the music.

Yeah but I store the music that I really want to listen to in super high quality on the M5's hard drive. I download that music at 320kps and just keep it on the hard drive or a USB stick. I still feel that Pandora streamed through the iPhone's Bluetooth sounds very good with the B&O although it's not super high quality, the convenience of it is really nice.

Maybe I did something wrong when I plugged the phone into the USB port on the M5. Maybe I'll try it again. Hmmm...

Sounds like your cable is shot. I had this happen recently too

Also, I've noticed that these newer cars don't like third party lightning cables at all when going thru the port. Try an OEM Apple cable

Ui, need to look into uploading some on the cars HDD. Difficult? What's the capacity of that drive?

I like the iPhone 6+ but you have to be prepared that it is not a one handed device. The battery life is great and I like having more real estate on the screen. Mine hooked up seamlessly with the car.

I think it's 40Gigs. I can't remember off the top of my head. Maybe it's 20.

I was using the Apple iPhone cord that came with my iPhone5. Granted, I could try using the iPhone6 cord that came in the box, but I didn't think that it would make a difference. I've always used my Apple supplied USB Cord and it did the same thing with my iPhone5 whenever I tried connecting it to the M5.

Yeah that article is very dated. I doubt that they kept the music storage space to 3GB.
