Video in motion software?

Hi, has anyone here used video in motion software from bimmerguru.com? If you have, can you share your experience of it with me? I'm contemplating whether I should get it or not. Any feedback would be great!

I used DVD in motion, same price and does the same thing. You download the program to a USB stick, insert and download using the center armrest port. Works great.

So what are you actually doing with this software enhancement? Watching movies while driving?????
What's the hype that I'm missing?

My kid likes it from the backseat. Otherwise pretty useless.

But if you are coding the car, there are a dozen really useful features that can be turned on as well for $100-$200

I don't know what it means to "code it" but I have the Video in Motion and I have had nothing but praise from anyone who rides with me. Of course I don't look at it when I am driving, but the passengers love it!

Thank you for your feedback, everyone. (:

I have been using their software for a while now and I like it a lot. Glad I decided to go ahead and try it.

I had my car coded to have the screen work from the iPod as well while in motion, but have never tried it. Is it as simple as plugging in the phone to the iPod Dock in the console and playing a music video to see if it is on the screen? There is nothing else to do?

I have not had success getting an iPhone to play video out on the M5, I don't think the lightning connector supports video out.

If anyone wants some coding done ... you can come to me in Central NJ and I'll do it for free .. or I can do it remotely ... you just need to buy an ENET Cable (from me or anyone else for that matter) and we can do it with teamviewer.com remote control software.

There are a few options to be able to watch DVD's on the center screen while the car is in motion. They are mentioned above.

There are many features that are customizable, including the above, via coding. By that I mean the onboard computer or whatever is accessed via the ODB port using software and a laptop. From there, a qualified person, can make adjustments to the code to turn on/off or change features.

For the $200 it costs to do this, one can 'turn on' the ability to watch DVD's while driving (for my kids in the backseat) as well as a number of other great features. Example: turn signals in heads up display, automatically fold mirrors when locking car, dvd in motion, open/close trunk w/ fob...tons of other cool and practical stuff. I forget what is standard for M5 and what I had coded, I s used to having the features now. Search this forum for that list.

I had my car coded by Richard V12. He lives in NYC I believe and he accessed my car via remote desktop emulation. Took an hour. Best 'mod' I've done to date. He'll be coding my headlights so they are 'active' soon.

cheers.

My friend uses their software and likes it. I haven't heard him make any complaints about it yet. It is something I would like to look into myself.
