Video: V1 Hardwire DIY Install F10 M5
Hi guys,
I just posted a video here that shows how to hardwire (using the V1 hardwire kit) the radar detector in an F10 M5. I used green wire with the brown stripe on it to tap into. It was hard to access the ground bolt, but with a swivel accessory it is possible. I referenced this guide for help as well. - http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=515517 Thanks to William for letting me use his car.

I also used the green wire with brown stripe. When the car shuts down at a traffic light (fuel saver) the radar detector reboots when the car starts back up. Annoying. Any answers other than the obvious - shut off the fuel saver switch?

I hardwired as well but in a much simpler way. I just tapped the powered mirror lines and only had to remove the piece of the housing right near the mirror. Does not turn off with the fuel saver switch. See here for instructions:
