CYBA Exhaust Tip DIY install
Tools - Allen Wrench (provided) and 13mm Combination Wrench
I got the Stainless Steel tips, should be the same for Dry CF and Gloss Black Removing the stock tips, start with the inner tips, that way you can get a better grasp of the outer tips since they sit in more. Depending on how long they've been on, it will take more effort. I simply twisted to the left slowly, turn by turn as mine have been on for a year and they had some grime built up. I did not need anything like WD40, just a lot of effort. I was a little discouraged at first, but they will come off. After a few turns to the left, I gradually pulled out as I turned. Installing the tips - at first glance you'll notice there is one welded line on the inner pipe with one allen screw and nut directly above it, this should be the top of the exhaust tip, that way you will not see the remaining two welds as they will sit on top. Loosen the three nuts, then loosen the three allen screws so that it sits flush with the inner pipe - that pipe fits perfectly over the exhaust tube with little room, so if you dont loosen the allen screw it wont fit over properly. Fit the exhaust tip over the exhaust pipe, at this point you will notice that w/o removing the diffuser, the top nut/screw with the weld will be hard to fasten when its sitting in its top position. What I did was tighten the top allen screw and then its corresponding nut as it sat facing the ground from the bottom to the point that I got resistance. (Its important to tighten the nut prior to rotating it to the final position, you will see why after you rotate it) I would then rotate the exhaust tip so that it sat facing up in its final position. Then continue to tighten each of the other allen screws to the point of resistance. Then tighten the nuts - the nut secures the screw, so tightening the nut should be the last step after the screw is where you want it. Tips - I started with the inner tip first and worked my way out, I felt it was easier to align the outer tip using the inner tip as a reference point since the inner tip sits out more. Also, from reading others' posts, it sounded like a few people spent most of their time trying to align the second pair of tips to the first pair. I simply measured the distance between the edge of the inner stock exhaust tube to the edge of the installed exhaust tip from the first pair/side and used that on the 2nd pair/side, worked out perfectly. The outer exhaust tubes are wider in diameter than the inner exhaust tubes, so don't be alarmed when you find yourself not screwing in the allen screw as much. Just as a reference, Im pretty terrible as a DIY'er, I am maybe a 4 out of 10, and I did this pretty easily. Took me about an hour, with the first tip taking up about half the time. Removal was 5 minutes. I plan to check on them to make sure my screws/nuts are tight, and as my wife warned, just make sure the tips arent hot. Good Luck

Thanks for your detailed instructions Patrick. Very helpful. Did you do all of this without having to raise the back on a ramp or even a trolley jack? I've bought the carbon tips and a little disappointed with the size. The two rings don't give the perception of increased diameter like the solid ones, like yours, do.

How did you get yours to fit so far in (i.e., without protruding from the bumper much)? The diameter of the exhaut pipe is larger for the last 4 or so inches. If I mount them at the innermost part of the pipe right before the diameter gets smaller, they still out abouy an inch or more. When I tried to mount where the diameter was smller, the mounting bolts were not long enough to secure the tips. I have the CF tips. Maybe they are different?

Actually thats a very good question - I hav no clue. CYBA should check if hes going to sell them to those with CP exhausts.

I asked like 20 times if it's the same and I never really got a concrete answer. Just confirmation that they just slip off and on easily and stock tips are 76mm... I pick my car up next week and have the carbon tips ready to do a self install. I'll let you know how I get on...

Thanks guys, been busy to give it a second shot but with your guys confirmation I'll give it a try. If not just pay the shop to have them on - these OEM comp ones look like crap. Too weak for how the car sound with the catless DP & connector + Exhaust Meister.
When I first got my Exhaust Meister I was so disappointed as I was only able to listen to it with all the glass closed (due to tint). Didn't use it for a couple weeks then and one day I decided to give it another shot. Damn what a nice difference! Gives the car that low sounding rumble it needed with the DPs. We all know how crazy the noise insulation is in this car but this really made me say wow. Should have remembered even with my DPs how different the car is inside and outside. My buddy has just DP with straight pipes, nothing interfering at all. The car sounds absolutely insane on the outside and the turbo sound is so sick. From the inside the sound is totally livable with no drone and you still get that sweet turbo sound. Been debating finishing up my exhaust this way...already halfway there with the custom downpipes & connector from undercover. Anyway, back on topic I'll post some pics of the black tips once complete. All the OEM chrome is totally gone from the door handles, etc and got a nice CF roof wrap (was a cf wrap hater before). The white and black look is coming along nicely!

Has anyone used a strap wrench for OEM removal? Seems you should get a pretty good grip with one without damaging the OEMs...or your wrist/hand.

i used my hands to twist the OEM ones off and no problems/damages here. taking off the diffusor helps a lot when putting tips on since they have three locking bolts on each tip.

Thanks for the DIY PatrickC23. I followed it to the letter and it went great!
Have to add that the strap wrench sure made easy work of removing the stock chrome tips.
