Part number for M5 F10 Adaptive LED headlights (Option 552)

Questions:
1) What is the part number for BMW M5 F10 Adaptive LED headlights (Option Code 552)?
2) How much is the official retail price (more or less)?
3) Will these work on first-year and second-year builds? (e.g. those manufactured in 2011 and 2012)

1) Below is a list of all parts required for the LED headlight retrofit

FRM3 - 61359383692
ZGW - 61359322532
LED module for turn signal, left 63117352553
LED module for turn signal, right 63117352554
LED module for cornering light, left 63117352477
LED module for cornering light, right 63117352478
2 x LED display for fan, left 63117352479
2 x LED display for fan, right 63117352480
2 x LED main light module 63117354974
2 x Headlight control module, LED 63117409580
Headlight, LED technology, left 63117352481
Headlight with LED technology, right 63117352482

2) It will probably be cheaper to buy a used set of equipped headlights from ebay and the two modules (FRM and ZGW). Alternatively you could go with Umnitza's headlights, who look more or less the same, but aren't exactly the same as OEM

3) OEM LEDs are not plug'n'play on pre-LCI cars (2012 and 2013). You'll need some wiring harness modifications and coding. The Umnitza headlights are plug'n'play.

Oh thanks.
I assume that my local BMW dealer would be able to find all these with the part numbers involved

I see.......but in any case, I'll just go brand new.

Oh I see..........but as long as BMW can provide the components and instructions that are needed for installation of LED front headlamps on a pre-LCI car, then I can just let the local BMW dealer do the rest

And if ever they run into problems (e.g. coding errors, malfunction), then the dealer can just call BMW Germany for any tech support and assistance

If you show up to the dealer and ask them to upgrade they won?t be able to do it. If it wasn?t a dealer installable option (which it wasn?t) they are just going to turn you away.

Hmm..........I don't know how it works over there but where I'm from (Philippines), our dealers can do it just fine as long as it's original BMW equipment.

For instance, here's one that was done by one of our local dealerships here:

As long as it is original BMW parts, components and equipment, then they can do it

The dealer won’t be able to help you with the install. This is not an official retrofit by BMW, hence your dealership won’t have any information on what the required wiring changes are. And they most definitely won’t be able to program the car.

From my understanding Umnitza still needs coding as well?

Your headlights almost the same as 2013’s!, yes you need to change modules and harnesses, new wire harnesses about $900-1500, headlight with modules each $2,500 + work probable it will take 2 days to swap everything out! Bette off buying aftermarket LED headlights or sale your car and buy the one with LED?s.

to all, trying to install the original LED will cost a lot and the dealer will not do it

it require cracking and coding as well

therefore, don't waste your time and money for nothing

I tried my best with them, however, they didn't accept

the best option is Umnitza

The cheapest and easiest option is Umnitza, OEM is still the best option. There’s no “cracking” required, just coding and it can be done remotely. You just need to find someone who knows what he’s doing.
