Griot's Garage BOSS (Best of Show System)

In this video, I feature products from Griot's Garage's professional line of products known as the BOSS (Best of Show System). These products work just like every other quality product that you have seen me use. I have NEVER seen or used these products before but as you will see, my results will be as good as any other product that I have used. This further backs up my mantra that "Technique Trumps Product" 365/24/7.

One of the things that I wasn't aware of is that the 5" Griot's polisher is battery powered. Personally, I wouldn't want a battery powered machine because eventually, the battery is going to wear out. Who knows how long those batteries will be available. Electricity on the other hand will ALWAYS be available so the 6" polisher is definitely the way to go. If you are a novice, buy the conversion kit so that you can use 5" pads with that polisher. As a novice, your results will be a LOT better and you will develop a solid buffing technique faster when using a smaller pad.

Sit back and kick your feet up. It's another typical video from "a brutha' in his garage" production!

My personal preference is the Rupes 21 mark 2. It's Available on Amazon for $400 for buffer only or $550 kit w pads and polish) It has a 6" pad with a 21mm orbit. I own 15 polishers and buffers that were ounce the best. The Rupes doesn't leave ANY SWIRLS what so ever. The pads and products are all color coded and very user friendly. Made in Italy. Griots polisher is ok but it's not a professional grade polisher IMO for the money. My Rupes 21 has hundreds of hours of use. My work horse is the Flex 3401 another awesome polisher w 12mm throw. I attached some photos from my garage below.

I am the guy that buys all the wonder car products when they come available at SEMA show before they release to the public. So waste my money not yours

No disrespect Junk man..

It's fine. I have nothing bad to say about it.

Complete waste of money and here's why. That Rupes polisher (and a lot of their polishers) are nothing more than orbital polishers. That means that they CANNOT correct paint as fast as a dual-action polisher like the Flex XC3401VRG. Add to that, the Flex is CHEAPER than the Rupes you bought. The throw that people go crazy about only comes into play when you are buffing on large flat surfaces. If you are working on a sports car with lots of curves like mine, the large throw is worthless. So the large throw is great for RV's, Semi trailers and 1980's - 1990's Volvo's, but irrelevant for any kind of car with a lot of curves and humps/dips.

I own 5, and that's 2 more than I actually need that can do any kind of vehicle there is, including boats and planes.

I have never, ever used a polisher that left swirls. However, I have seen a LOT of guys who did not know how to use a polisher leave holograms all over the place.

The pads sold by Rupes are made by Buff -n- Shine, the same company that makes pads for just about everyone except Meguiar's.

The polisher that I used in this video is their beginner level polisher, geared toward the novice but also used by professionals who understand that you don't need a sledge hammer on every car. I clearly demonstrate that in this video.

My PC has traveled the country and done hundreds of detailing clinics, not to mention quite a few cars. It has never given me an issue after over 10 years of use. My Flex on the other hand has been in the shop 3 times. It's a great machine but out of all the machines I have, it's the only one I've had to get repaired.

Now THAT I 100% believe you! A lot of folks who have bought Rupes machines are that way!
