Attention those that have kw has fitted

Today I tried to raise the rear end.

I lifted car of the ground, unscrewed the littel 2mm screw that holds the flange to thread.

It was beyond hard making just one turn, and from there its simply stuck.

I tried break cleaner,wd40 and the thread is clean, but no luck.

I can turn it lower, but its like the spring makes it impossible to raise it.

I am the only one with this problem ?

Not connected but when I fitted new Boge rear shocks to my 928 and carefully measured when turning the large alloy height adjuster screw flange applying wd 40 from time to time on the screw bit afterwards so it doesn't seize should I want to adjust height a bit more. There are no small screws locking the flange in place as the weight of the car holds it at the right position.
I would keep applying the releasing agent against to the small screw at the same time tapping with small hammer as you turn the screw, it's got to give eventually.

Remove the shock assembly and adjust. I've ran into problems with Kw's ( and other brands) when trying to raise the ride height, where the spring puts too much pressure on the pad, and makes it impossible to adjust. Only solution i've ever found is to remove the shock assembly, make my adjustments and reinstall.

After many trials i solved the problem

I cleaned everything, gave it wd40 and turned flange first down, then up then down and so on, until it gave in.

From there I was abel to raise the car no problem.

Problem was that because i did not lossen the small screw that holds the flange secure, it broke a smalle piece of the thread that made turning the flange extremly hard.

BTW I serisouly had to raise it, because after a 200 mile trip with the car filled with people, the car became super low in the back, it dropped at least 10mm, it also started to ride really horrible, bumping over even the smallest imperfections, and feelt unsecure.

I raised it with 14mm in the back and now it drives 10 times better, much more precise, and firm in a good way, and there is a even gap front to back, there is a bit of a rake, but its a look that suits the car imo.

I like the ride now, and feels like when I had just installed the kit, but i think it will be my last spring kit, because it was a epiffany have much the ride kvality impacts the overall joy of driving a car like this, so in conclusion suspension kvality directly affects the whole driving experince, much more the sound and engine power.

Il post pictures this weekend.
