Hey guys, had a thread like this on past forums and they always picked up traction. Whatever you did to your M5 today and a quick picture or two of the change. Ill start, last mod was the Gloss black M5 trunk emblem and painted rear bumper reflectors. Thanks to IND for great pieces!

Lets make this an ongoing thread!!!

I had a NBT Evo retrofitted this weekend, to replace my CIC nav. Probably one of the best mods for a pre-LCI car in my opinion.

Aside from how modern the NBT Evo menus look, compared to the CIC, the voice control on the NBT is simply amazing. Gone is the old "tree" like structure of the CIC (i.e. on the CIC you can't just say "call John", you have to say Phonebook first and then say the name). I feel like I can almost converse with the NBT and it will understand me The ceramic touch controller with write function is cool, but I find myself using voice input most of the time.

Carplay is also nice, although I'm not sure how often I'm going to be using it.

The nav on the NBT is also much better and with the NBT you're now getting nav queues on the head up display as well.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the upgrade. Some pics of the new looks:

A bit less than $2,500 for parts (NBT Evo unit, display and ceramic touch controller), labor and coding. I got a full package deal by a friend from a local BMW forum here in Bulgaria. He's an enthusiast and retrofits are his hobby. He has great attention to detail, so he did all the wiring and coding to be exactly as OEM - no emulators, all options are activated with the proper FSC codes and no extra wires.

The price I got was definitely a good deal. Looking at websites that offer this type of retrofit, you'd be looking at an extra $1,000 on top of what I paid. If you decide to go with hardware activation (emulator for nav and voice control, but you practically won't see the difference) you can get it for around the same price.

I got them on eBay. The coils were around $187 shipped and the plugs were $204.

Got the updated part numbers from real oem.

How you liking the hex tune? I'm about 2-3 weeks out from pulling the trigger on it so any feedback is appreciated.
