Purchasing goods from fellow members
Can anyone provide input/advice on how to purchase goods from fellow forum members?
Which transaction platform you have used, easiest way to do it...and does the buyer pay before goods are rec'd/shipped? Is it a partial payment first, with fulfillment of remainder up reception of goods etc.? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kind of unsettling since it's a large purchase, and I want to control/alleviate some of the risk I'm bearing here. Thanks, H |

Definitely check who's selling the item is. I normally avoid brand new accounts with their for sale thread as their first post. Forum credibility is something to check.
I've always used PayPal. Make sure the transaction is under buy/sell of goods. Having it under PayPal helps in case there is a problem. Normally. The buyer sends full payment first, then the seller ships (hopefully with tracking) to the buyer. |

To your satisfaction and based on cost of goods, you may want to speak w/ seller (not always the ad poster), ask for additional pictures & even do a video chat to determine authenticity of the goods sold.
