Faded or damaged glare protection on Nav Screen

Hey guys, ive noticed my nav screen glare protection is fading on the bottom of the screen as you can see in the pics. Anyways to repair this besides a new screen? You cant see it in the shade, only the sun exposes it very badly. I just want it to cosmetically look better. Ive read on some other forums of people putting a certain screen guard on it and made a big difference. Any thoughts? Experiences? Purchases/links?

Thanks all!

Very easy repair. Get some plastic polish and a soft wheel for the drill. Remove the screen from the dash then remove the plastic surround. Carefully polish off the anti glare coating.

Wont that make the entire screen completely invisible? By the looks of it you can hardly see the bottom part as its in the sun

Why would it make the screen invisible? I purchased some matte screen protectors to fit at the same time. Mine is perfect now.

It just appears that way, because where mine is scratched if sunlight hits it i cant see it.

From my understanding i need to remove the idrive display from the dash, remove the rest of the anti glare film with a polisher and wheel and then install a anti-glare film such as lexerd? Does that sounds right?

haha! Actually man it wasnt that bad, noticeable but not as bad as pictured until today. I had some fingerprints on it and tried cleaning it and now it looks so bad...Im gonna do the polish and remove all the anti glare film then install a Lexerd film on it. Looks like this is a pretty common job.

However, does the M6, 750i and M5 all have the same screen? This is the one im looking at, just want to confirm it is correct

Looks like someone used a cleaner that took that anti glare layer off a bit.
