After clay bar and wax, use Bead Maker

I highly recommend it! I use it on my other car, too, and the surface is smooth as a baby's butt!

I've tried them all mate but to protect your M from minute stone chips more you need ceramic coating,it's like a glass coating and once you've detailed the chips and levelled them the c/p will protect the front and bonnet more.

Agreed - Bead Maker is a great product (very effective).

IMO a ceramic coating will do little if anything to protect from stone chips. Washing swirls and the effects of bird bombs maybe, but not stone chips. PPF on the other hand would offer some protection against stone chips.
