I bought these used from a fellow member here. cyba is the manufacturer but he doesn't make the tips in black chrome anymore but makes them in CF.

Damn. I give up.

Was the garden hose even close to the pressure washer?

Yes and no. Yeah it's soaps up the car enough so that you can clean it down and rinse it off. No mainly because it doesn't stick as much (more water coming out). But no one can tell what you used once it's done. The only time I use the pressure washer is if I'm washing a few cars together.

Used a pressure washer with foam gun to soap the lady and give her a good wash 😅
And finally found a working alternative to the sports display, with a huge array of functions and great visual appearance...

Actually, it's a 2 step setup. First I installed an aftermarket CarPlay solution, like Bimmertech. Then I got the BMW M Performance Drive Analyzer (OBD2-Stick and App). It's a fantastic tool, similar to other available ODB tools, but with BMW M branding.
And finally I run the app on my iPhone and mirror the display via Airplay. Works flawlessly and on top, some data can be shown in the HUD.
It's not a cheap setup, but I truly enjoy working on BMWs and I was pretty annoyed by not having the sports display in a LCI car!

Ahhh, so you always have to mirror from cell for it to work?

Correct! But once it's running on your phone, it will be displayed until stopped. I admit it's not quite as slick as the OEM display regarding integration. Nonetheless I like the looks and the functionality, I'm very happy with the result 😀

Nice little refresh.

Were they factory black grilles (ie the surround bit, which is chrome on my car)?

Has the front bar been 'peppered' too? Or was it just that the grille surrounds weren't holding up particularly well to it?

Yes they were the ones with the chrome on the edge. The outside part had a few dings as well as the slats.

Not too difficult a job, tried unscrewing top of bumper/weather seals etc first to gain access behind grill.... once realising this was more difficult than first thoughts I opted for option 2, A good yank! Which gave me access to 2nd grill once the first one was off... wrapping took only a few mins 2 x cf blue wrap 65mm x 370mm and put it back together! Happy with the results....

Reflector wrap!!

I know this is illegal in UK (where I am) but gonna run with them for a while and see how it goes......
Reflectors are just compressed in so come out pretty easily, a quick clean and wrapped with CF Blue. Pop them back in and all done!!

No but it will help with the air intake temperature has these lines sit right on top of the intake pipe and get extremely hot and bleed it to be Intake without the wrap
