M5 100-200 and 100-300km/h CP vs non-CP vs Jahre Edition
Good morning guys,
I became a happy owner of a 2013 M5 F10 White very recently. (Pictures of the beast: http://www.bmwmregistry.com/detail.php?id=14306). I am absolutely in love with the car. It is exceedingly fast, yet it is a comfortable and pleasant car to drive, when the 560HP are resting. I also have to add this: FROM A ROLL THE M5 IS A COMPLETE ANIMAL. I have made R8 V10's, a MC Stradale, and an E63 AMG cry from a roll. From 100-200, 150-300 this car is completely mesmerizing. I have owned a C63 AMG W204, a M3 E90, and a 335i N54 in the past, but these cars feel like 70hp compared to the M5. I would like to know what times have you guys recorded in a V-Box for 100-200km/h and 100-300km/h given that I don't have the equipment to try. I would also like to know if anyone has seen any Magazine test 0-300km/h for the M5. I have seen numbers ranging from 6.9s to 8s for 100-200km/h for a stock M5, and numbers such as 30s for 100-300km/h. I would like to know what you guys have been getting. Kind regards Carlos |

Welcome... yes it's a fast car and only gets better with mods.
Not sure on stock numbers but maybe 6.9s 100-200 KPH is reasonable. 60-130MPH is high 7s or low 8's stock. At the 1000hp level best has been 4.9s 100-200 KPH and 5.9s 60-130 MPH. 0-60 of 2.5s |

By the way for modding, I plan on adding RPI-GTM exhaust to the baby as soon as I get my finances back to normal after buying it lol. |

Awesome car bro........and that Alpine White color is dope
P.S. If I may ask though, what's it like to own and drive a BMW M5 in Brazil? -Depending on which area of Brazil you are from, I know the traffic gets really bad (especially in Rio and Sao Paulo) Last edited by Blackraven; 03-21-2016 at 04:39 AM.. |

Having a M5 in Brazil is awesome at times, and in other circumnstances it is a bit of a pain, but I assume that is the same everywhere. Firstly, the M5 is not my daily, my daily is the Audi S3. I love the M5, but for the city it is too damn powerful, especially now that São Paulo has become infested with SpeedCams, and at times it is scary. The main problem, though is criminality which you have to be concerned when you leave the richer neighbourhoods, as cars like the M5 (or any BMW for the matter) call too many attention when they leave that block of richer areas. The second main problem, is shitty road pavement and asphalt. The M5 is very comfortable and is mainly not affected by the bumps, but not only is it annoying to have to deal with the bumps, it also sucks in terms of maintaning the car, and makes life of driving fast more tricky. Nevertheless, we have here in the State of São Paulo, three of the best roads in Brazil, the Imigrantes, Bandeirantes and Castelo Branco. Driving the M5 on any of those is therapeutical, the speeds achieved are just unbelievable and all is done safely. There are just some speedcams and police checkpoints to be concerned. The main problem is knowing when to take the foot off the throttle. There are many more roads too where the M5 shines, and we also have awesome mountain and beach roads to enjoy this beast. In terms of traffic, it sucks really badly here, and personally I don't mind too much getting stuck in traffic with the M5 as it is a very comfortable and well equipped car. I just wish it had massaging seats and Adaptive Cruise Control hehe, to become a perfect traffic cruiser. Nevertheless I will be trading my S3 for a Passat with these materials. Owning the M5 is consequently a mix of awesome moments and others not so much so, but it is still an awesome car. I love every second of it. |

Nice stuff there. Very informative and I'm glad you're enjoying your vehicle
P.S. I noticed that your car comes with Rear Seat Entertainment. Do BMW M5 cars for the Brazilian market come with these as standard? Or did you order them as added cost options? |

Cars in Brazil for BMW come with a closed package. This is standard. The only options are the Bang Olufsen stereo and Night Vision
