Aftermarket Rear Diffuser - anyone have any experience with these?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/252158002763...witem=&vxp=mtr

They look nice online and obviously are replica, but I was wondering if anyone have any comments on thoughts or fitment. The center piece has bolts, but do the sides go on with just double sided tape? Thanks.

No its fitted with pop push fixes just like the original upper diffuser, you use the same connectors to re install the new part. Its a 5 minute job on and off to be honest.

The only thing to be weary of ebay copies is the actual fitment...Pics may look good but who knows how much modification was required and I suppose all sellers will state 100% fitment but the reality is that this may not be the case...

In addition, Id also be weary of the carbon fibre itself...Ive seen plenty of cheap carbon fibre that starts to turn colour with time

I hate to say it, but when modifying a car like the M5 I would prefer to pay a premium price knowing what I am buying is a premium product rather than saving some money hear and there for cheaper products

it's going to be a hit or miss on ebay stuff. i've read lot's of positives with quality and fitment being spot on! someone will read that and order from the same ebay seller, get the part and have all kinds of quality and fitment issues? if you notice alot of ebay sellers all have the same pictures of the products being sold so you take a big chance when you order through ebay...that's just the way it goes!

I highly recommend RW Carbon over any eBay stuff. The fitment of the eBay stuff isn't good, you'll have to do some heavy sanding and re-clear to get the fitment just right.

RW Carbon is produced by a very tight Quality Controlled partner overseas. I now have their diffusers on my M5 and X5M. Both fits perfectly and the diffuser's finish on the X5M has been through a snow storm with no issues. The carbon fiber weave pattern is also beautifully done.

Below is the Center Diffuser by RW Carbon

Check this one out for OEM fitment or RW Carbon. I would never buy Chinese replicas! Their quality and longevity are absolutely horrible. You end up spending way more in the long run because those cheap products don't have warranty and/or fitment guarantees.

If you don't want to spend $700, then get a used one from the member classifieds.
