Teaser... Fitting my X5M winter setup on the M5.
If I swap the tires over from the M5 and drop of KWV3, she should sit perfect. Thoughts? Should I change the wheels color to satin black or keep it as black chrome?

Thanks for the feedback. You know I'm not going to run those tires, right?. Those tires are from the X5M - 275/40/20 front and 315/35/20 (way too tall and wide for the M5). With OEM M5 OEM tires and lowered, they will look better.

I will likely powder coat the wheels satin black.

Most likely won't move forward. Rear sticks out 10mm from the optimum spec. If only they were 20x11 ET30 instead of ET20. I'll just sell hear wheels to another X5M owner.

Yeah. X5M tires are too wide and tall. Was just checking the fitment. Should be flush with OEM M5 tires.

I found the OEM BMW winter set-up 408m's on fleabay ... Like brand new, TPMS and just 1.5/32 off the rears and not even 1/32 off the fronts. Paid less than half of what my stealership wanted for new.

Installed RAMAIR intakes. I couldn't be happier with the way my car sounds. The swoosh is super loud, turbos seems to spool up quicker without the restriction, and I spent less than $100.

Sounds similar to HKS SSQV BOV.

RAMAIR is a reputable intake company based in the UK. The filters are double dry foam with stainless steel mesh reinforcement. The filter base is aluminum with velocity stack, which amplify the sound as well as rushing the air through smoothly.

Where to buy: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RAMAIR-UNIVE...xWGuww&vxp=mtr

You'll have to cut the OEM box as shown (1" away from the base). You can revert it back to stock by using the coupling that comes with in. The dealers won't notice and will not care when you trade it in.

I wonder how they compare to the BMS intakes.

BMS doesn't use a filter with an aluminum velocity stack base, which looks like a trumpet for maximum airflow and sound. The filter base is more similar to MSR and JWT.

RAMAIR has been around around for 30yrs.

Plus the filter that come with the BMS kit is oiled I think, I prefer dry foam for no CEL.

K&W V3 and 12mm spacers hopefully. I can't decide if I want forged wheels or keep stock.

Awesome. Yeah, you cannot go wrong with K&W. Other than the K&W Clubsport, not a fan of those for the M3/M4. I'd take a TCKR 2-way or Bilstein Clubsport over the KW CS due to the top hat bearing issues.

For the record, KW is a suspension company, and K&W is a cafeteria

So M5 fitment wheels and and F85 wheels are interchangeable? I still have my Modulare B18s, can I use those for winters on the F85 with proper rubber? I was just about to list them for sale to get an F85 winter set.
