60K mile service

Any of you high-mileage guys know what exactly goes into this service?

I want to get a heads up before going to the stealership and getting screwed for something I don't need.

Find out what's needed and don't go to dealer. They literally just kill you. My dealer here did a single coil and plug for $700. I had another misfire and had BMW specialty shop do the remaining 7 coils and 8 plugs for $1k. Find an Indy shop

I forgot to mention that I do have the extended maintenance so hopefully everything will be covered. I'm just trying to find out what needs to be done at the 60K maintenance so nothing gets left out

I had realized my maintenance expired at 50K, not 60K

So I went to my trusted BMW guy and he did the following:

1. Oil change with LiquiMoly
2. Replaced all spark plugs
3. Replaced one coil (the one giving me the DTMAL and CEL)
4. Coolant flush
5. Brake fluid flush
6. Rear diff fluid flush

Thanks for quoting your prices as it gave me peace of mind of what he charged me

That was good of them. Sounds like they ripped you off still. Try another shop, tell them to ignore the m badge and charge you normal prices.

I know! Feel like it's permission for them to just add 50% to estimates when it's an "M"

If you've been having it serviced by BMW like I do then menu items based on time and mileage limit will come up if it's time for them to be done.It takes the guesswork out of what needs to be done and what not when the key is inserted into their master service computer.Obviously oil and filter would be at the head of the queue.

That seems pretty much what I would do at around 50-60k miles but I would also change the air filters and cabin filters then you've pretty much ticked all the boxes assuming brake discs, pads and tyres are all still ok.
