2014 M5 MT clutch issues?
Hi, I have a 2014 M5 6 spd MT that I bought new. I don't drive overly crazy and I've had several MT BMWs, 3s and 5s but this was first M. At around 60,000 miles the clutch started shuddering during gear changes and quickly got worse. Luckily car was still under warrantee, $8,000 USD repair job took 3 months waiting on parts from Germany. I had the car back for less than 3 months and the shuddering started again. I mentioned it to my sales rep at the dealership and he said "ya, we had problems with the clutches in those cars" - thanks alot!!! Not sure if what he said is true, but I've certainly had problems. Is it possible and reasonable to put some sort of aftermarket clutch into the car? I'd like to keep the car forever, but not with this clutch issue. Thanks!

I am sorry to hear that! I wouldn't let them get away with it though, make sure you keep pushing. My '13 is a MT as well... I have zero issues with shuddering. In fact, these clutches are supposed to hold upwards of 900 whp/tq based off what my tuner BPM had mentioned.
Good luck.. but stick it to them to replace it again or go to another shop possibly?

6-speed M5's are in such low production that I'd find it hard to believe a SA say he's had issues with clutches in these cars. I'd suggest getting a second opinion.
