Boost Levels on Piggy Tune

I installed Active Autowerke's Active-8 Tuning Module and I'm finding boost levels to be at around 18 psi. Car feels strong.. but that doesn't sound right..

Isn't stock around 18 psi?

I'm reading boost levels through a ScanTool OBDLink Bluetooth module. Is that a good way of reading boost on the cheap? I was using the Torque app on my phone.. however if anyone has a better app they can recommend to datalog I'd love to hear it.

Any thoughts on the above??

Not sure if that would read what the car thinks it's producing not the actual revised boost.

I like the tune.. just curious what boost it's supposed to run. I'd rather have the ECU properly tuned but this is a good appetizer until then.

Any suggestions on software to datalog or get proper boost numbers via my Bluetooth OBD reader?

Piggybacks fool the ECU into thinking it is running stock boost thats why gauges will show stock level boost.

okay.. so if I were to manually tap in and get a boost reading, not off the OBD, I'd get actual boost levels?

I'm not going that route., but much appreciated on this response!

Why do you say its so much better than the JB4? Just ordered so I guess I'd still have time to cancel it if theres concrete reasons for AA8 being noticeably better.
