Black Is The New Orange

Hey guys!
As some already know, I was forced to start a new project.

Last month I was forced off the road by a car that hydroplaned across 4 lanes of traffic on the interstate.
I ran off the road in to the ditch and ran over two large rocks.
Everyone involved was fine.
My car however, took the most damage.
After a long drawn out process with the insurance companies, they decided to total out my "Obnoxious Orange".

On the surface they car didn't look that bad, however the rocks I ran over did a good amount of damage to the underbody, subframes, and aux coolers up front. Also gouged one wheel and bent another.

Once all was settled, I set out for a new project. I went back and fourth between a M6GC, X5/6M, or another M5.
We just had our first kid so fitting a car seat in the back was priority.
The M6GC had great space, but a rear facing infant seat didn't fit very well.
It made the passenger seat feel cramped.
I searched and searched and finally found the right car!

Nearly the same spec as mine but in Black Sapphire.
The car was tastefully modded by its previous owner.

Dang sorry to hear about your first M5 but nicely done on the purchase of the second! BTW - I know your turner exhaust is sold, but I did finally get an M5 just a few weeks ago lol.

Damn I didn't see that you crashed your orange one, glad to hear everyone was ok.

Nice job on the new one, Black is gorgeous when clean but I'm a bit biased lol.

Glad to hear everyone is ok after the mishap.

Congrats on two fronts - new little one and the replacement ride! Would be fun to pick out a new color combo & options if I had the chance to do it all over again.

It was a long and strenuous process to deal with the insurance company, deciding on a new car, having a baby!, and then buying a new car.
But we made it.

Just wheels for now. Maybe some small aesthetics as well.

the yellow intake looks good thru the grill, but with all due respect the yellow bits in the interior are not appealing. just my humble opinion of course.
