Well, figured I'd post some pics of step 1 of my detail process.

I've listed the steps below; feel free to ask any questions or add your input.

1-Foam bath w/ Chemical guys wash & wax, let it dwell, then rinse.
2-Wash w/ 2 MF mitts (upper/lower), 2 bukets, etc., rinse. left the car wet for step 3
3-Clay: Adams Clay mitt for the not-so bad areas, CG med. clay bar for the front/rockers, and rear. used standing water and CG clay luber as a lubricant
4- had to finish claying inside as it started to thunder/lightning (regular rain would have been fine). Used clays above + CarPro Eraser (alcohol mix) to wipe down each panel.

Finally ready to 1step correct/polish today; will be using my Torq 10FX, Rupes yellow pads and Sonax perfect finish. More pics to come. In the mean time, here's post decon pics (pre polish/seal/wax). Should be little to no wax/sealants, etc. on the paint. If it were to get wet, there would be zero beading.

yep, true, among other crap. Again, I wasn't too worried as I was going to follow it up w/ a light paint correction.

Thanks. I've been working on the 1 step polish for 2 days now. Single pass in some spots, 2 passes in others. It's a bit humid in my garage so I think it's making things go a little slower for me...I'll post a pic after polish soon. After that, seal then wax and we'll really see it shine.

Looks amazing, are you using a spotlight to check for remaining swirls/imperfections?

Yep exactly. Not a fancy light like a scan grip or anything, just an old work light an led flashlight or even my cell phone lol. Unfortunately there will still be some faint swirling left but it will be much improved. I thought a 1 step correction would get it all out but it seems a 2 step was needed.

Yep sounds like we do!

First wash after the whole process will be tomorrow (Sunday) morning and I'll use Beadmaker as a drying aid. Lets see how this combo holds up.
