Picked her up from storage and back home. Building a garage addition so she's been away a few months. Glad to have her back:

Installed BMS billet exhaust tips

After literally months of waiting for inventory to arrive, I finally received the BMS billet exhaust tips I've been looking for from the first day my car arrived and I saw that the stock chrome tips were toast.

In the four months I waited, I had the stock tips refinished as best as they could be, but the pitting was not reversible at a price I was willing to pay.

The build quality on these BMS tips is beautiful. I'm sure that as I drive and get some carbon buildup, their perceived thickness will be less apparent.

Everything about this product is first class. As was the service I received from Mike (mike@x-ph.com) and Julian at Extreme Powerhouse. Thanks, guys, for tolerating my weekly "Are they here yet?" emails.

Yes, I know they are available in black, but I'm a shiny-parts person, bucking the trend on black wheels, tips, etc.

I wanted to offer a variety of views here in case others are interested. There's not too much out there, image-wise.

Have a great, long, weekend.

Got some coding done. But definitely not the last of it. Used the Carly app (friend has the subscription). So far I got turn signals in the hud and it now shows music info in the hud.

Things I still wanna do
- display tire pressure and temp
- close trunk with key
- whatever else I can find

Nice pipe ends and I know what you mean about getting the perfect exhaust ends which can involve waiting.
I'm trying to sort out my replacement ones with angled outlets,I have two already which require minute grinding on the inlet inside to fit perfect so waiting for the small wide grinding wheels for that. When you get that right, about 74mm inside you need, then they push back to where you want them.

I have the same issue on my 2015. Is removing the wheel required before doing this? I don't have a way to lift up the car yet but thinking about getting a jack.

Depends on what rims you have, you could do it with the rims on but I would recommend taking the wheel. Consider it an excuse to get a jack

I did mine with the wheels on, but Ickdeep is spot-on -- sooner or later you'll want to have a jack. I had a flat right in front of my house last week, so the jack came in very handy so I could remove the wheel and take it to the tire shop.

Don't forget that if you have a jack, you'll need to have jack pads (Amazon has many like these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and a torque wrench (biggest one you can find that goes up to 103 ft lbs) so you can safely tighten the lug bolts.

And since our wheels are dished, make sure you have an extension between your torque wrench and the deep-wall 17mm socket to remove the lugs. (I learned the hard way on that one. )

Sorry to hijack (pun totally intended) this thread.

I bought a slightly different sticker and just put it right over the old one.

Had a little fun with PlastiDip.. everyones most hated paint Put down 6 coats of black as a base, then 3 coats of the aluminum metalizer..

Very impressed with the finish.. way shinier than I thought it would be.

6 coats of black base on left, 2nd coat of the the aluminum on the right.

Nice eh??

Nice change. I have to ask, why did you need the black as a base when your wheels are already a darker color?

I had black on hand.. but you could use any color Plastidip can as a base.. the aluminum metalyzer needs it to bond properly.

Same issue here w/ pitting on the black-chrome OEM comp pack tips, thinking of changing them out as well. The billet looks great on your car!
