305 PS4S grip off the scale
Put about 200 miles on my 305's since being fitted and in comparison with the old 295 SS's well, there is not a lot.The car slingshots forward from the lights as if was being let go from a giant sling that was holding it,I've never gone so fast forward even comparing it to a C63 I drove at MW

Man... thats fantastic to hear. I have 305 super sports and they just can't handle the power even with the wider footprint.
I am piggy back tuned by ActiveAutowerks, maybe thats the issue.

So you are saying that putting 305s in the front give a ton more grip? My wife complaints all the time how a little bit of accelaration and how the traction control kicks in as the wheels start spinning. i tell her the car just has too much power... i wonder if the 305s will make that a little better. Do you have any spacers?

Yeah, the 305s are and excellent tyre. I don't think the pilot ss are as good so the 4s is the way to go if you don't want a track tyre. The car still spins easily sometimes but that's the nature of the beast. If you get a half decent road on a warmish day you can put all of 2nd down and feels like an awd car.

Thanks guys will keep that in mind for my next tyres. Have 2 295s spares in my garage so might be a while unless i find a good deal and sell the ones i have spare. May then need to drop the spacers to 5mm too from 12mm.

Mine are different one side is completely flat and the other has a slight taper in the middle which is facing the hub. You mentioned in a previous post that you had to help the mechanic put your wheel on, this is due to the wheel no longer sitting on the hub center.

As replied to you in the other thread.
I have Michelin PS4S 305 in the rear and they fit perfectly, and the grip is phenomenal. Huge improvement coming from 295

I understand what you are saying. All I mean is that in the past I have seen many wheels come loose due to fitting without a spigot ring when the wheel centre is to big for the hub. This is the exact thing we have going on now due to the taper on the wheel. It's now to big for the hub.
