To lower the front and leave the rear alone you would need an adjustable setup. I don't know how that will affect the handling / body roll
But the minimal drop springs are Eibach I think..

I am currently running stock and my wife complain about it all the time (I came from MB E55 and it is softer comparing to M5), I don't want to drop too much but just want it to be a little softer so i get less complain.

So is Eibach a good choice? Thank for the input.

guys my mechanic is having issues installing the eibach springs. He says he took the struts to get them pressed to remove the springs so that he can install the new ones. He went to 3 places and no one can press the struts because it has the magnetic sensor and the wire on top that no one seems to be able to open? Isnt this supposed to be take off the springs and just replace them with the eibachs and the car will still work with the efficient, sport and sport plus suspension settings?

The wire on top pulls out. You should be left with a hole where the wire plugs in. Tell him to pull straight up and the wire will pop out

just to add the mechanic is saying that the only way to remove the springs from the strut is to cut the sensor as the sensor is in the way of the bolts, did you all have to do that or is there a guide you followed?

This is what he sent me. and he just said that the sensor is in the way to remove the bolts that holds the strut, the place he took the struts to be compressed won't compressed them because of that.

Thanks M5 TT. The DYI article i read here on this https://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=782992 says "This here is the rear strut mounting nuts and studs! Do NOT pull on the EDC wire on the rear struts!!!!!! They are perminantly attached... you will have to detach them from harness and fish them out with strut!!!!"
I just want to be sure last thing i want to do is screw up the EDC. I have spent the last 2 hours looking this up and there is really no one indicating how other than yourself and the article above which has no photos unfortunately. I appreciate you responding so promptly tho.

Quoting myself here. My mechanic sent me the pics after i had sent him what M5 TT said (Thank you) and i attach for anyone who may find this helpful. Remove the cap and pull the cable as it is just a plug as you can see from the picture.
