anyone know where to download?? Struggling to find info. The official site seems to be down or something. Tried searching on here but did not return anything. maybe me just being daft though?

Its been a week since I emailed for my launcher pro 3.0 token with donation record, but no response other than the immediate auto response. Esys is dead in the water for me.

Anybody else got a response recently?

Many have. If it has been a week, send follow up email.

Just use the regular launcher. You don't need the pro version unless you're going to be coding different models all the time.

I haven't tried using mine lately. If I already have it installed I should be able to still use it right?

No. ALL E-sys Premium tokens expired before or on 12/31/17. You could install last year or today, but you will get same result (ie non-functional).

Not sure I would use the word racket. He was tired of others selling his freely available software. Now, if you wish to use his solution, you must make a charitable donation; no money goes to him.

However BMW E-SYS is manufactured by BMW AG and is not freeware or generally available to the public user.

Launcher Premium and Pro was an e-sys hack built by Tokenmaster to use e-sys for no cost and personal use.

While I understand him being protective of let's say, his "intellectual property" because he designed it and hacked e-sys, I find it highly hypocritical to revoke tokens to hack said proprietary BMW software while profiting or "for non profit" as some would say for years.

I am enthusiast and have used this software for my own vehicles and helped friends at no cost. I know you are an avid coder and do this as a business. As such our perspectives may differ but in the end we are all enthusiasts. If my information is incorrect please correct me but that is my understanding. Cheers

E-sys is actually designed by ESG, not BMW.

There is no "bait-and-switch." (I know you never used those words) But, let's be clear; Tokenmaster makes $0 off his solution.

Tokenmaster does not object to those using said software for personal or business purposes. He just does not want individuals selling software, offered for free.

I am a BMW enthusiast, owning since 2000. I do occasional business, but 90+% of my use is non-profit.

So this payment thing is it an annual payment / donation or just a once off??

It provides license for 2.5 years.

Resending my request after a week.

I'm fine with the intentions to prevent people selling this software, and fine with requiring a charitable donation (this is similar to gaining certain privileges on other car forums via charity).

Clearly handling individual token requests via email doesn't scale to the size of the current enthusiast E-Sys user base, particularly when all existing tokens just expired simultaneously. And they will all expire again in 2.5 years creating another big bubble that will flood this person with requests. I thank that person for their efforts and hope they will continue to do this in the future.
