Cheaper V-Power?
Got a bribe from Shell of 7p a litre off v-power uld and duly used it today when the tank had about 10 litres left.
I had been using Momentum 99 last two fill up's and they notice when you don't come for a while with their new GO+ card. |

Not really, the car pulls strongly with both fuels and starts perfect. I'm led to believe that v power is cleaning and lubricating the internals better and like to use v-p every two or three tankfuls just like you do yourself.
One thing I did notice was that the revs went up very slightly on start up when I previously just filled with Momentum 99. |

I only use Momentum or V-Power.
I find no real difference between the fuels, except my I30N gets better MPG on Momentum... The M5 drinks the same amount of whatever I put in the tank... Tempted to try sticking water in there, its cheaper after all - mind you probably not as combustible!

I have not noticed any real difference between the two on my M135i.
In the back of my mind I seem to recall that Tesco M99 is something like 97RON + Ethanol, whereas vPower is 98RON plus some 'RedX' type additives to help the burn process. It could explain why M99 gives a higher startup rev, with the Ethanol being more explosive. |
