Went to start it and had a heap of errors
Shit myself! Turns out the dme plug latches can be closed without actually being properly latched!

Phew all good now

Patched my drivers side tire for free at my local discount tire shop.

Also was quoted roughly $1500 for 305/275 tires installed. Idk if that's a good deal or not.

Finally decided to go for gloss black rear M5 badge and purchased another one rather than plasikote my original.Looks fantastic like chrome black and old badge came off surprisingly easy after baking in the sun,removed with my fingernails (ex SAS lol)
Must put pics on here when my children give me time...

Good work. I still haven't done mine after almost 6 years of ownership, but think the silver/aluminum color of the molding never went well with any of the choices of wood or carbon.

I sanded it a little in order for the primer to adhere better, cleaned it off with some alcohol, then I sprayed a light coat of primer. I added on two more coats of primer. A light coat of matte black then 3 more coats of matte black. Let it set about 45 minutes then a light coat of matte clear coat and then 2 more coats of matte clear. Let it sit for 24 hours then put them back on the CF trims.

I think I gave a quick overview of how I did this if you scroll above.

Basically sanded the parts, cleaned them off, primer paint and matte clear coat

I should also mention that you have to drill out the plastic welds that hold the molding and trim together. You'll either have to plastic weld them back together or just use plastic epoxy
