Winter Wheel Setup 2015 M5 Competition Package

Hey Guys,

New here. I've got a 2015 M5 with CPP that and to get a winter wheel setup. I've heard great things about the Nokian Haka R2's however want to solicit opinions on a durable set of wheels and feedback on the tires. There are a few posts out there about this topic however they seem a little older. Any thoughts on wheels and tires for the winter? BMW offers the winter wheel setup which are 255/35/R20's.

Will this look silly on this beast?
Can I go any wider with the wheel?
What is the thought on TSW wheels? Are they good enough to put on this machine?

I can't comment on those specific wheels. I personally use the official winter wheel setup from BMW, which work well. The dealership stores my winter setup for me, which is also very convenient.

So do you have the larger Carbon ceramic brakes? If so you need 20" wheels, and the OEM winters are called 409M, they're 20x9.

For even more pics, look in post #79 in this thread. http://f10.m5post.com/forums/attachm...1&d=1394750449

I've got the standard brakes but will most likely opt for the 20" BMW winter setup.

thanks

I use the CP wheels for my winter set up and treated myself to a set of HREs for summer. I didn't see the logic and spending so much on a car and then being on wheels that were a compromise for 4-5 months out of the year.

to get the most traction out of your winter set up, narrower in width = better snow traction.
i believe 255.35.20 square set up will be optimum.
however you can run stagger (wider) snow tires in the back if u wish.
you can run spacers to compensate that tuck in look.
only TSW wheel I'd get is tsw nurburgring which is flow formed wheels. I heard good things about them and they are affordable.
most of Forgestar wheels use flow form technology as well as some HREs too.
