M4 Gloss black grilles?

Anybody know where you can buy M4 grilles in all gloss black? Super hard since the car just came out and don't want to overpay by buying from BMW direct.

you mean knock off ones? The OEM ones look pretty good... but yeah, they will be expensive.

That seems ambitious even if they come apart. Maybe you're just better at wrapping curves then I am. lol

It looks like the actual grill (the inside structure) is already black. It's only the part that surrounds the grill that is chrome. It seems to me that you would only need to consider this surround piece.

Cheers.

They can't be separated (..at least not easily). Sometimes there is a difference in grill design too.

The F32 grills will (..F30 front grills are shaped differently), but they don't have the little ///M3/4 placard on them. I suppose that's favorable if you don't want the little badge up front. I may go with F32 black grills myself, especially because you know BMW will add a surcharge for that ///M badge. Keep in mind that the grill design itself is different too.

I even prefer the concept car's badge-less front grills:

Garage List
2018 BMW i3s  [0.00]
2010 BMW M3  [6.50]
2015 BMW M4  [5.25]
The passenger grille would be the one to cross reference with other models, since it does not have the M badge.

F8X M3/M4 grill numbers
F8X M3/4 Right grille (US Pass, without the badge) is part 51.13.8.054.332
F8X M3/4 Left Grill (US Driver, w/ badge) is part 51.13.8.056.411

F32 grill numbers
Grille, front, left MODERN 1 51137294819
Grille, front, right MODERN 1 51137294820

Grille, front, left LUXURY 1 51137294815
Grille, front, right LUXURY 1 51137294816

Grille, front, left SPORT 1 51137294817
Grille, front, right SPORT 1 51137294818

Grille, front, left BASIS 1 51137294813
Grille, front, right BASIS 1 51137294814

This just states they are different numbers, there's a remote possibility it may still fit if the different part number is due to a cosmetic feature (finish, etc).

Great info Tom. This will be helpful to the forum. Now if we can just find pics of all of the grills and post them here.

IND should be offering an OEM ///M4 Double-Slat Grille shortly in all black ... it will probably run you $400 bills though!

Uhhhhh, if they are that much I'll just get the OEM M-Performance black slats for free when I pick up my car. IND will already get $400 of my dollars for a painted valve cover, plus several hundred more for their shift/e-brake boots with tri-color stitching. I refuse to hand over any more money for black grills.

Yeah, my connect will hook me up with a set. That'll save me several hundred right off the top.
