F8x top hat nut size and tips for install

For those who have installed springs, what type of socket did you use and what size? I know ECS tuning makes special sockets but I'm not sure of the size for the top hat nuts. I tried sizing it with regular sockets but none seemed to quite fit. (I don't have any large 12 sided sockets)

Do you guys have any tips for installing the springs? I've installed many springs before but none on F8x-E9x platforms.
