Please activate an FA first [G008]

I'm trying to code the LEDs and get that error. Any help would be appreciated. I've tried those instructions 20 times. |

I thinnk step 11 should be "expert mode -> coding ->read FA -> activate FA (by right click on FA)-> read SVT -> code applicable ECUs"
But then, I just tried to code my LEDs as well and they aren't quite working right.... I'm sure Shawn will chime in |

Got the same message last night.
I had to load my saved FA file, then Activate FA worked. Next to the FA in the tree was the green "(active)". Then I could Code FDL. This youtube video helped me the most with coding: I made the edits to FA, coded FEM_BODY (for the door unlock) and coded KAFAS2 (didn't edit any values). no idea if the LEDs are working now. |

Sometimes it doesn't activate the first time. Try 4-5 times. If that doesn't work, shut the car off and grab a beer. Come back and try again.

I've been using f010, am I supposed to use f020 for my m4??? I think that may be my problem.
