2017 2-series gets extra USB port?

Can any of you lucky people who've already gotten your 2017 model tell us whether there's now a USB port between the cup-holders? I assume it would be where the lighter would be if you had the smoker's package. I see people confirming this new port for the 2017 M2. Hadn't heard about it for the F22/23, but am hoping it's there.

Hey mwickens I picked up my m240i today and yes it does have a USB port between the cup holders.

My 2017 m240i does not have the USB between the cup holder. US Spec, don't have enhanced USB option or wireless charging. Maybe that's the difference.

My 2017 230xi does not have the extra usb neither. Do have a question tho. Does your cigarette lighter light up ?

What options do you have on your car? Wondering why mine didn't come with it. It might simply be Canadian spec vs US spec.

Love the idea of having another USB, but what a disaster this will be when coffee spills all over it..

I have to imagine they'll come up with some sort of plug for it...I also didn't notice this during my ED...edit...checked my pics...my car appears not to have this feature...must be tied to some other option would be my guess.

I've been quietly following this. Having noted the extra USB in the m240i that I tested at the time of my order my CA agreed that this was a new feature. I took delivery of my blue baby yesterday and can assure you all that the extra plug is only included with the wireless charging option for USA builds. I had already set myself up with a 90 degree USB adapter to provide a nice interface for the 3D printed iPhone cupholder everyone else has used. Add in a flush 12V USB adapter and everything is peachy. I have an Escort Passport radar detector that requires a cigarette lighter plug, so I have just now purchased ANOTHER adapter that provides 2 extra USB's. Everyone's happy...

This car is fabulous, BTW, and aside from the fact that I had to wait in Seattle while the car sat at my dealer in CA, and I've had rain nonstop since I've picked her up has done NOTHING to put me off my decision! Holy crap, this thing moves NOTHING like my 335i. My wife and 7-yr old daughter have been unable to control their shrieks in our brief driving episodes!

Really like the idea of having a port easily accessible and not in the armrest storage. Would be appreciated by many if the part number for the unit could be posted. Also if there is a tag on the USB cable that number would be good as well.
There was a post quite a while ago in the DIY section for adding an additional port inn the glove box. I has all the numbers and instructions. Apparently the radio has 2 ports to connect to, for some reason the glove box connection was dropped but the punch out to install it is still there, on my 16 N235 anyways.

Might be worth a look for anyone wanting to install an easy 2nd line.
